Regarding your take on the DRM requirements however, it is increasingly rare to see it ever taken into account that Steam is already a form of DRM, so for a developer to include it is a bit unecessary normally, especially in a single player career mode. Steam is one of the most elegant and integrated DRM solutions available.
Having a roadmap and milestones aren't bad things, but they can't be hard coded and linked to payments disguised as innovative steps towards further growth of a beloved brand.
- got not one single race.net disconnection!?
- got no connection failed!?
- got no savegame loss!?
- it doesn't feel unfinsihed!?
- there are no annoying bugs!?
- sound doesn't disappear!?
- got no lightning problems on stages!?
- it's always online because of game piracy (and the world has become a cloud)
