I can't quite figure out what i did wrong (if i did), but it seems to be working fine now. Tested in 2 different worlds, pre-planets sandbox and the easy-start planets one. Both worked fine this time.
I would suggest around 100-200km for small ones and somewhere between 500-1000 or something for large ones (small>big scale is 5-1 anyways, right ?). Big ones to do some deep space exploring too, why not :3
As for the antenna range, yes I should make it so you need just one relay to communicate between planets with large ships, and just one relay between planet and moon for small ships. I'll be experimenting on that.
I experimented a lot with your 'Better Laser Antenna' mod, it should have worked i think *scratches head confusedly*
Btw, I would lower the range in the hundred-ish too, instead of in the thousands as another option and for personnal tastes. While Vanilla's laser antenna's range is so bad, still wanna keep a certain hint of challenge wouldn't we :D
