I did try that mod but it isn't exactly like you describe it to be.
The requirement to be able to raid is still duke or lower tier with your mod.

Perhaps there's a major change with raiding recently, I've tried several mods about raiding and none seem to work as intended.

@Blims! No, due to the changes in the mechanics, and files I have to override, I stopped updating this and created the "No Malus Raiding" mod to better fit the theme and new mechanics that were added. (if memory serves. It has been a while...)

Will this mod get updated? :)

This shiet randomly made every province in norway to some tangut culture and converted the whole of Sweden to Bedouin (kind of whats happening today anyways). Do not recommend this mod since it will destory your entire game:crusader_helmet::crusader_helmet::crusader_helmet:

Works fine for me
Nameless  [author] 9 Jul, 2023 @ 1:41am
I wouldn't trust it too much. The file it is overriding had some major changes sometime back (which is why I made the No Malus Raiding mod). So while it might still allow raiding, there are some things it removes from the base file since the overridden file is not updated.

Yes, it still works from my experience.
Uhtred866 16 May, 2023 @ 6:16am
does this still work on the recent patch?
Jésse Jamés 7 Mar, 2023 @ 7:10am
Bro raiding is one of the most fun thing to do in this game and not being able to do it in mid game is quite annoying. Thanks for this mod!
ExplosiveL99 19 Nov, 2022 @ 3:57am
i love mods that are update proof lol
mr. fors 29 Sep, 2022 @ 6:22pm
no update needed, working just fine (1.7.2)

thank you creating it :)

Buffalo Billy 5 Mar, 2022 @ 6:59pm
yes i see it now, musta had to reload, i had more inland provinces in india as norse but still could get the culture, but i dont need it for some reason i can stil raid as feudal
Nameless  [author] 5 Mar, 2022 @ 2:11am
It is in the "Practiced Pirates" cultural pillar, which you can pick if you have enough coastal regions (I think, not 100% sure of the requirements)
Buffalo Billy 4 Mar, 2022 @ 11:41pm
how do you use the trigger, culture = { has_cultural_parameter = culture_can_raid_at_sea_even_if_feudal }
Nameless  [author] 13 Feb, 2022 @ 5:37am
Created a somewhat similar, but slightly less cheat mod here . It lets you raid without malus if you pick the Practiced Pirates cultural pillar.
Edaryion 8 Feb, 2022 @ 11:38am
Okay, thank you for the notice!
Nameless  [author] 8 Feb, 2022 @ 11:12am
PDX have added culture parameter that allows you to raid when feudal (and is a lot less cheaty), so I will probably not update this mod.

PDX added this line to 00_scripted_rule_triggers.txt:
culture = { has_cultural_parameter = culture_can_raid_at_sea_even_if_feudal }

so if you deviate/change your culture to include this, you should be good to raid as feudal!
Bono 30 Jan, 2022 @ 3:29pm
You saved the game man, devs should be greatfull to u
Edaryion 28 Jan, 2022 @ 1:51pm
Okay. Thank you.
Nameless  [author] 28 Jan, 2022 @ 9:13am
It only works for pagan religions. If you look into the mod you can see the line that was added in 00_scripted_rule_triggers.txt:
faith = { religion = { is_in_family = rf_pagan } }

So it will only kick in if your religion is in the "rf_pagan" family.
Edaryion 27 Jan, 2022 @ 10:49pm
Does this work for all reformed religions or only the 'Pagan' religion?
ShadowCCCP 4 Dec, 2021 @ 9:21am
same

I'm a bit late, but I can confirm that this works with existing save games! Thank you for making this mod, it fixes one of my biggest complaints with the game.
Nameless  [author] 11 Aug, 2021 @ 1:03am
@KGBKING do you mean if you can add it to an existing game and have it work? I haven't tried that, but I don't see why it shouldn't. If you enable the mod, it overwrites the logic for who can raid. So I think if you have a save game with a reformed pagan, they will now have the option of raising the troops as raiders.

But like I said, I haven't tried it so it might not work.
KGBKING 10 Aug, 2021 @ 9:55pm
dose it work with save games
BallahBoye 8 Jun, 2021 @ 10:37am
Vielen Dank für die gute, harte Arbeit, Junge!
Nameless  [author] 8 Jun, 2021 @ 10:35am
Should be updated now. Only changed the version, as the file I am overriding was the same as for 1.3.*
ChatGPT 8 Jun, 2021 @ 9:56am
hi, when will you update this mod for 1.4?
Everec 13 May, 2021 @ 6:48am
Hey there again! I tested the mod for very long time and at first i wanted to thank u for such a good mod! The results of testing are good, I have not seen any problem with Icons and etc.

Nonetheless there are two thing that i have crossed along while playing.
First and the most important is, that the rebublics(cities) are calling raiders to raid, and they do not move or do anything. They sit there for like 10-20 days and then they are disbanded.(in my opinion i would ban cites(rebublic vassals) form raiding)

Second(which i can't really confirm, cuz it is maybe caused by some other factor(or my imagination xD)) is that the event for raiding a castle, the one with "bring more loot" and " it is enough" is showing up less frequently on the castles that have been already raided before(by me). Sometimes it has not showed up, and sometimes did(but for sure less frequently, although i think it is caused by something else).

Once again i wanted to say: Thanks for such a amazing mod!
Nameless  [author] 11 May, 2021 @ 3:48am
No problems with the mod (as far as I know). Worked in a couple of games where I reformed and went feudal. There have been a few instances where I couldn't raid, but it turned out to be a full boat.
There is also a slight problem that every now and then the "has been raided" icon doesn't show up on the map, which leads to you not being able to raid. The "Has been raided" flag is present if you go into the province view. The confusing thing is that the main map icon is missing for just some provinces, but not all. I noted this when I couldn't raid Canterbury (No icon on the main map, but the details showed I had 2 years left to wait until I could due to "recently raided")
Everec 10 May, 2021 @ 5:05pm
Sooo... is it working as it should or are there still the problems that u mentioned?
KGBKING 6 May, 2021 @ 3:29pm
cool mod thanks
Nameless  [author] 19 Mar, 2021 @ 2:47pm
I actually had the same thing happening (before going feudal or reforming) in the 1.3.1 beta patch. I was raiding, was attacked, won, and then I couldn't raid the place anymore. Only happened a couple of times, and I could move to the neighbor to raid them without problem. Not sure how to reliably force it to happen for some testing though.
Nameless  [author] 19 Mar, 2021 @ 9:38am
Not really. I have not tested that scenario though. I couldn't load my old game (apparently a bug when converting the save from 1.2.2 to 1.3.0), so I had to start a new game. and thus had to use the console a bit to reform and go feudal in a reasonable amount of time. For that it worked fine. Raised my raiders and raided Wales just as before. The only thing the mod does is add the line "faith = { religion = { is_in_family = rf_pagan } }" to the file 00_scripted_rule_triggers.txt, and it should only affect the ability to raise your troops as raiders.
Mental Motel 19 Mar, 2021 @ 6:05am
Uhm so I dunno if there is a mod conflict but there really shouldnt. I loaded this onto a save game where I had already reformed and while I can raise raiders they do not loot cities. Do you have any information on why that is the case here?
Nameless  [author] 17 Mar, 2021 @ 1:38pm
Updated to 1.3.0
The Amaranthine Prince 2 Mar, 2021 @ 11:26am
thanks for letting me know m8
Nameless  [author] 2 Mar, 2021 @ 9:08am
There hasn't been any updated to CK3 as far as I know, so as long as you are not using a conflicting mod it should still work.
The Amaranthine Prince 1 Mar, 2021 @ 2:34pm
this still work?
Nameless  [author] 16 Feb, 2021 @ 12:41pm
@Babuchas The more "proper" way would probably have been to create a tenet, or add it to Warmonger or similar, but this was a quick fix to let me raid as a reformed feudal Norse, which was all I wanted to do. Have to have a little bit of fun :)
LittleRedSonja 21 Jan, 2021 @ 3:49am
Thanks. There should be a doctrine when reforming faiths to allow you to keep raiding, like in ck2. I dont know why it is not included in ck3, so this mod is very handy, thank you :)
Long 26 Nov, 2020 @ 6:30pm
Neat.
Nameless  [author] 24 Nov, 2020 @ 1:54am
A quick update to 1.2.* (It is a 1-line mod, after all). Seems to still work.
