This is Dark Interval's "XM31 Combine O.I.C.W.". Inspired by the early AR2 of Half-Life 2's in-dev/beta development stages, which would later be discarded and replaced by the I-Rifle circa 2003-2004. Based on the 1999 "XM29 Objective Individual Combat Weapon" developed by Alliant Techsystems, with Heckler & Koch.

Using any other modification that overrides the game_sounds_weapons script will cause conflicts.

If experiencing issues, be sure to put the workshop_dir.vpk found in your steamapps\workshop\content\220\3401536065 into your \steamapps\common\Half-Life 2\hl2\custom.

@Dr.Bruh you do know that you probably have several conflictions mods enabled on top of this one, right? Try disabling any kind of mods that changes the AR2.
Also no, those issues are not intentional, and they do not happen on my end or anyone elses'. Be sure to check your other subscribed mods for any conflicts.

also is it intentional that when u fire the gun it shoots 1 bullet at first, stops and then lets you go back to auto

first time i used this mod, it showed that the ammo type the gun was using was the SMGs type of bullets, but i could never get any for the gun, i think it works now because it says it uses pulse rifle ammo, but only when i have another ar2 mod active so it might of been fixed but idrk

im pretty sure people want a more true to form dark interval oicw rather than it being made of someone else's preferences, i think that's the whole reason why two separate addons are made of the same mod with minor changes

Why not use the sound effects from Dark Interval? Personally that's the only thing stopping this mod from being perfect.
