[B42] Ammo Reloading Toolset (Realistic)

Description
Introduction
A realistic/hardcore Ammo Reloading mod.
You can find "basic"/"easy mode" version here:
- Ammo Crafting (Simple)

There's a compatibility submod for Rain's Fireams and Gun Parts mod, enable it only if you use Rain's mod

Find the Ammo Reloading Toolset in various locations where you may find ammo or guns, as well as in pawnshops.

It is initially found inside of containers and can be placed like toasters/microwaves, and relocated later.

The drop rates are balanced for single player game, with rare random chance to find it in select locations.

How to obtain it
- There's a minimal chance to randomly find it in various locations and containers with tools.
- There's a very small chance to find it in metalworking shops, among ranger tools and in survival gear locations.
- There's a small chance to find it in all locations where you may find firearms or with hunting gear/army surplus rare crates.
- There's a noticeable chance to find it in Gun stores, in hunters' caches, in pawnshops and in safehouses.
- Once you obtain Metalworking level 5, you can craft it from multiple tools (check screenshots).

What does it do
The mod adds:
- A portable "Ammo Reloading Toolset" furniture item that can be found in pawnshops/safehouses/gun-related areas.
- Empty ammo casings, bullet cores of each caliber.
- Ability to disassemble ammo into components and reload it.
- Lead scrap and ability to break items into lead scrap. Turn lead scrap into bullet cores.
- More ways to obtain brass scrap. Turn brass scrap into empty ammo casings.
- Distribution of lead/brass scrap items into the world.

With the toolset, you obtain a variety of new reactions.
The mod also adds Scrap Lead.
It also adds Scrap Brass and Lead Pipe to various junk/bin containers.

New Recipes

- Make Scrap Brass (any surface). Hammer brass nameplates, brass ingots, saxophones and trumpets into 2 Scrap Brass.
- Make Scrap Lead (any surface). Hammer Lead Pipe, DumbBells, BarBells and Car Batteries into 1 Scrap Lead.

- Forge <caliber> bullet mold (in any forge). They are made out of "Iron Blocks" (check attached image to see how to get them) using a hammer, tongs and a chisel. The bullet mold requires you to find the recipe in "Moden Metalworking at Home", "Small-Scale Smithing" or "No Man's Land". The recipes are auto-learnt at Blacksmith skill level 5.
- Make <caliber> bullet core (in any furnace). Use a bullet mold, tongs, lead scrap and charcoal to create 10 bullet <caliber> cores.

- Make Empty Casings (Ammo Reload Toolset). Press [Scrap Lead/Scrap Metal/Scrap Sheet Metal] into 10 Empty Casings.
- Disassemble 1/5/10 <caliber> bullets (Ammo Reload Toolset). Receive 1/5/10 GunPowder, Empty Casings and <caliber> bullet cores.
- Reload 1/5/10 <caliber> ammo (Ammo Reload Toolset). Takes 1/5/10 of [<caliber> bullet core, empty casing, gunpowder], produces 1/5/10 <caliber> ammo.

All vanilla ammo types are supported (9mm, .38, .44, .45, .223, .308, 5.56, shotgun shells).

Recommended mods
- Make gunpowder from charcoal and fertilizer.
- Make Charcoal in kiln to craft gunpowder from.
- Process scrapmetal for more crafting options regarding scrap metal, including more ways to obtain it.

Future plans
- Once Beta42 introduces Brass economy (the metal is already in the game, albeit barely used), the mod will receive more advanced features.

- Once Multiplayer is working, a Multiplayer-friendly drop rate will be released as a separate mod, to allow more people on servers playing with these tools.

Yes with some context.

1) You can add it and find the reloading toolset in places you haven't visited.
2) You can also craft it when reaching specific level of metalworking.
3) You will not find it in places you've already visited (unless you have item respawn on).

Fine to add mid game or?

I agree with Rachel, Guns of 93 has the M1 Garand.

thanks. I preffer guns of 93 over rains, feels more balanced and more correct than rains overhaul

Yep. I am working nonstop on a bunch of mods, but I will come back to it.

It seems to be a mix of renamed vanilla and new ammo. Any chance to add compatibility to it?

If they add new ammo, then there will be no recipes for that ammo.
If they use vanilla ammo, no issues.

I mean it "works" anyway, it's just a question whether this makes special ammo or not.

Does it work with Guns Of 93 (test)?

Update.
- Changed Iron Ingot to Iron Block in bullet mold recipe.
- Added picture to show production chain to get Iron Blocks.
