[B42] Ammo Crafting (Simple)

Description
This is a "light" version of the mod
You can find "hardcore/realistic" version here:
- Ammo Reloading Toolset (Realistic)

There's a compatibility Sub-Mod for "Rain's Firearms and Gun Parts", enable it only if you have Rain's mod

Find the Ammo Reloading toolset in various locations where you may find ammo or guns, as well as in pawnshops.
It is initially found inside of containers and can be placed like toasters/microwaves, and relocated later.

The drop rates are balanced for single player game, with rare random chance to find it in select locations explained below.

How to obtain it
- There's a minimal chance to randomly find it in various locations and containers with tools.
- There's a very small chance to find it in metalworking shops, among ranger tools and in survival gear locations.
- There's a small chance to find it in all locations where you may find firearms or with hunting gear/army surplus rare crates.
- There's a noticeable chance to find it in Gun stores, in hunters' caches, in pawnshops and in safehouses.
- You can craft it once you reach Metalworking level 5.

What does it do
The device uses new crafting interface.
Click on it directly or right-click on its tile and select "AmmoReloadingToolset". If it's on a table, you may need to click a bit below the sprite.

You can craft new ammo using scrap metal and gunpowder.
- A typical recipe is 1 scrap metal + 10 units of gunpowder.
- It produces a couple of pistol ammo boxes, or a single rifle ammo box.
- All vanilla ammo is supported.

Recommended mods
- Make gunpowder from charcoal and fertilizer.
- Make Charcoal in kiln to craft gunpowder from.
- Process scrapmetal for more crafting options regarding scrap metal, including more ways to obtain it.

Future plans
- Once Beta42 introduces Brass economy (the metal is already in the game, albeit barely used), the mod will receive more advanced features.

- Once the brass economy/proper metal resource obtaining is better integrated with vanilla, I plan to create easy/realistic versions, one for those who want more ammo (with still dedication required to find the tool and to collect/craft materials), and those who want harsher crafting approach.

- Once Multiplayer is working, a Multiplayer-friendly drop rate will be released as a separate mod, to allow more people on servers playing with these tools.

Nice.

The bullet casings exist in the "Realistic" mod, but you need to press them from scrap metal.
The simple method is just metal + gunpowder => bullets for those who don't want to mess with casings.

be cool if you dropped bullet cases when u fired them and could pick them up to use with this tool to make new bullets with gun powder. maybe also scrap metal.

A big update.

- Renamed to "Ammo Crafting (Simple)".
- Added ability to use both Scrap Metal and Scrap Sheet Metal for ammo crafting.
- Added submod to support Rain's Firearms and Gun Parts mod's ammo.
- Added recipe to craft the Ammo Reloading Set at Metalworking level 5.
- Improvements to icons and text.

It took me a whole day, but now I've made a "realistic" version.
You can find it here if you would like more realistic and difficult ammo crafting:

Once I am done with my main job's duties, I plan to release a modding guide explaining how it's done.

I can see this getting very cool as it's flushed out with all the new tools and materials :cherrypie:

I'm excited to check it out, just based on your screenshots I can tell you I'm a big fan of the direction and implementation. I'm hoping to learn from what you've done here to create some evolved cooking stations, looks and feels very vanilla, well done.

Thanks, I’ve spent HOURS to find out how the new system works. Now that I know, I can focus on more mundane things such as difficulty options.
