Description
RP_Estive_cruiser is a combination of the rp_enforcer_cruiser, rp_brumal_cruiser, and emp_arid to bring you a good mix of the 3.

Estive definition: Another word for the summer season.

This project was to complete the retexture of the map and bring the Halo Community another good quality of a map. A full on ship, and ground area for them to play in. Though, some things had to be cut such as sim rooms, the resources have gone to a great quality for the ground area of the map!



Map Itself
  • Requires nothing to run
  • Comes with a NodeGraph for easier load in
  • NavMesh
  • Accommodate 128 players
  • Hyper optimization (nearly every room is optimized) Ontop of prop & ent render distances, Z-clipping, and chunk load areas.
  • Contains a full interior ship with ODST bay and working pods, a full map sized ground area, and 4 env-sims for training.

Ship Features
  • Dedicated quarantine zone to medbay (can contain the T-virus from gbombs)
  • Chemlab/annex
  • Messhall/OOC lounge
  • Court room
  • Gravity generator
  • Aux Generator
  • Alot of bunks space
  • A good sized debriefing room thats located right underneath bunks
  • Multi-purpose (empty) rooms
  • Armory/Supply room
  • A dedicated brig - 6 cells, 2 solitary, 2 VIP cells. 'in use' lights just outside the cells.
  • GameMaster room - can control everything. requires Noclip, located behind Main Cargo Bay (MCB)
  • Full 4 region sim rooms (Env-Sims), fit with campaign mode with it. and spectating section.
  • 3 Standard Sims on with privacy shutters, locks, and 'in use' indicators.
  • 4 individual navy offices
  • Admiral room with protection
  • 2 navy bunks (enlisted and officer)
  • Computer/server room
  • A multi-purpose room for navy
  • An airlock for ... things.

More Ship Details
  • Every sim can be run at the same time (x4 env-sims, cit, sandbox) if enough people want to run them
  • Windows looking into space
  • Engine room located outside map to help performance
  • A better way to contain new players - comes with a "need trainer, please" button.
  • Some areas are now color coded to keep players from trespassing.
  • Blast doors added to access halls to divert players to other ways to getting to other floors (for event purposes, activated only via GM-room)
  • Added background sounds to make ship feel more alive, such as the sound of active computers and air vents.
  • Quick response hallway connecting 1st floor mid section to MHB, doors control in MCB
  • Working bacta LLS tanks in medical
  • The main engine core can melt-down like a nuclear power plant
  • Normal players with grav guns (not phys guns) can fix the core when it explodes
  • Silent alarm board in security section to call security better

Ground Features
  • Ground area consists of 4 main locations. Town, Base, Bridge, Secret outpost
  • All buildings are enter-able
  • The entirety of the ground area has been given active soundscapes to keep it sounding alive
  • It is designed to feel like a windy desert, so dirt and dust has been added for environmental effect
  • Made very vehicle friendly
  • Several places of interest litter the area. Such as a howling canyon, bunkers, a vehicle from a forgotten era haunted by those who protected it

Q: "Can you mark the buttons so we know what were pressing?"
A: They are marked, and show in single player only due to engine limitation.



SIMS
The environmental Sim area is broken into 4 parts, Tundra, Woodlands, Desert, and City (kill house). each area has its own lighting, and its own lighting control.
There are spawns for both attackers and defenders for each environment.

Engine meltdown
Soft:
The Engine Rooms Melt Down feature is run on timers, and a heavy plug. Pull the main plug and the meltdown will take about 42seconds to start, or pull the switch in the GM-room.
IF THERE IS ANY ISSUE WITH THE PLUG, JUST JAM A CHAIR INTO THE SOCKET!
You can repair the core by sending in Engineers with Gravity guns (not physguns) to put the plug back inside.

The Estive-Class Special Cruiser is a joint venture between Humanity and the Sangheili with Covenant tech. A cross between the two as a good standing.

The Cruiser is missioned with scientific exploration, to experiment and conduct research. The ship is fitted with prototype and experimental equipment that makes it one of the toughest single non-capital vessels manned by the UNSC.

The crew may also consist of more than just Human as well.

yes, i will at some point add plot to the cruiser list!

Autumn (fall) already exists
Brumal (winter) in space
Estive (summer) over the desert

Vernal (spring) will come when ever i find a damn map that has a fine limit on resources to fit the Cruiser in.
If anyone wants to sponsor it for commission and any ideas, theyll get free perm advert on such map. not as extreme as Payback had as that was an advert buyout.

@player nope. engine limitation, they dont stick in multiplayer, only show up in single player. id also prefer not forcing too much language in multiplayer as other languages play my maps

when it loads it doesnt go past the "loading resources" and then it puts me back to the main menu like i said

for some reason this map doesnt start it doesnt even crash my game it just puts me back all the way to the main menu and then a bunch of errors show up
