This game was fun years ago but to new players wanting to play the game? Don't bother, there's hardly any servers left in existence and the ones that do have terminally online wannabe cop-like admins who will ban you for absolutely nothing. This game peaked about a decade ago and the aftermath of the weakening of modern society has left the game borderline unplayable, at least from an online perspective, because even cracking a light hearted joke can land you with a permanent ban. This is a game that can really only be enjoyed in it's current state if you play solo or use it to make YTP videos or sh*tposts. Unfortunately as a long time prop hunt player on this game I can say the culture that cultivated this game's following is all but extinct in 2024. The current community of this game will make normal people feel like MAGA extremists simply for having a regular or slightly edgy sense of humor. It's like the "No cussing on my good Christian Minecraft server" meme taken to outright obnoxious proportions. As a casual user since around 2015-2016 who often takes multi-year breaks from the game each time I have returned it's felt less like G-Mod and more like Discord the game. Buyer beware, this game is not as fun as the youtube best moments videos make it out to be, you can have fun with friends but if you're solely playing online you will be GREATLY disappointed in the offerings in the game's current state.
