Description
Enhanced Sounds adds new sound effects, most of which can be heard on the battle map where hundreds of new sounds have been added for weapon and shield hits, and flying projectiles. Soldiers now speak during combat. On the campaign map, there is now a sound for marching armies, new sounds for the recruitment, diplomacy and construction panels from Medieval 2, and on arrival sounds for messages that play the moment they arrive in your alerts tab, even if the tab is not opened.

Battle Map

- Almost all of the Alexander expansion units now have unique unit select voices when you select them. This is missing in vanilla.
- Soldiers now speak during combat.
- Hundreds of new sound effects for weapon and shield hits, and flying projectiles.
(Sound effects from epiccaesarlol's sound mod, originally made for EB2, ported to RR by me)
- The battle map buttons now have sounds when clicked on.

Campaign Map

- Sound for marching armies.
- New sounds for the recruitment, diplomacy and construction panels from Medieval 2.
- On arrival sounds for messages. These sounds will play the moment they arrive in your alerts tab, even if the tab is not opened. This way you are notified of important events without having to look in the alerts tab first.

Compatibility

- This mod has been designed to work with the base game.
- This mod changes the EDU (export_descr_unit.txt file) in order to make the shield hit sounds play.

I remembered the mod "Diadochi Total War" on RTW original. There, the soundtrack was almost completely replaced with the soundtrack from the film "Alexander The Great". Nice. Here would be like this.

the Indian Spearmen and Indian Mercenaries still say 'Infantry'

I found it. The vanilla Alexander EDU has many units in comments that I removed to clean up the EDU. I managed to find it by looking in the vanilla EDU

@co si jebnuty It does. I wasn't able to find the Indian Mercenaries unit in the EDU, do you know what its unit ID is?

If there isn't any Greek variation of the 'Spearmen' select voice, then go ahead

@co si jebnuty No problem. I will add a select voice for the Indian Mercenaries. Should the Hypaspists say 'Heavy Peltasts' when selected? What do you think?

thanks for the update, but I got two more suggestions: Could you make this work with the unused Indian Mercenaries/Mercenary Spearmen unit?
Also for some reason when I select the Hypaspists, they say "Phalanx Pikemen"

very nice, but could you give a unique select sound to the Indian Spearmen and change the select voice of the Barbarian Swordsman to the one used by Swordsman instead of Naked Fanatics?
