Half-Life 2 but G-Man won't leave you alone (Demo)

Description
"Time, Doctor Freeman…?" ~ The G-Man

===== Map Introduction and Origin =====

If you've been anywhere near the Half-Life community, of course you've heard of the mysterious G-Man. Whether through his shadowy in-game appearances, or through the many Gmod memes. Normally, throughout all of Half-Life 1 and 2, he only watches Gordon Freeman from afar, on some unreachable ledge or platform; but what if he was a lot more direct in his approach…?

===== Map Details Summary =====

So several weeks back,I released a video entitled Half-Life 2 but G-Man won't leave me alone; it showcased an alternate scenario, staged in Black Mesa East, wherein G-Man stalked the player directly, almost constantly, throughout the whole map; no other NPCs bore any response to him, and if the player remained in his direct vicinity for too long, they would get disconnected from the game.

The video received an outstanding response from the community, many people even asking for a full mod of the idea; while I'm not sure about modifying the whole game to be like this yet, I will give y'all this; a demo mapset featuring the mechanic!

Features included:
~ Three (Four) demo maps of the G-Stalker demo; they are named as follows.
d1_trainstation_01_gstalker
d1_trainstation_02_gstalker (don't load this one directly unless you get caught)
d1_eli_01_gstalker
d1_town_01_gstalker
~ In each map, the G-Man will appear in various places and begin to follow the player; if he remains too close to the player for too long (indicated by the screen fading out), the player will face one of two consequences; if you are in Half-Life 2, you will be disconnected from the game and sent back to the main menu. If you are in Garry's Mod, the map will automatically restart. …this difference is more of a technical thing.
~ Also, to specify, yes; this can be played in both base Half-Life 2 and Garry's Mod; for the ideal experience, please play it in Half-Life 2; if you're not one to crack open Gmod addon files, a direct download of the map files is available at the link below.
~ You cannot dispose of the G-Man completely; that would completely undermine the purpose of this "mod." So don't even try it, bucko.

NOTE: If you are experiencing any issues with map functionality, please refer to the Bugs report below before asking me anything.

FAQ: "Can you make him into a special NPC / Can you make him appear like this in every map"
I cannot do this; I'm not a coder, I'm a mapper. Literally not in the definition of my abilities. These G-Man appearances are done by modifying an existing map file, creating a dedicated version that has G-Man added into the mix and intertwined into the proceedings. This cannot be done at random in every map, at least not by me.

FAQ: "Are you still working on this?" (12/30/2023)
I'm sorry, but currently in my life, I do not have enough time to work on this idea in particular. But absolutely anyone is free to continue this idea in my stead. Anyone can do it, anyone can achieve the tricks I pulled off. If you want to ask how I achieved a certain trick, please ask in the development thread in the Discussion posts.

You can find the direct download here,[www.deviantart.com] what even is a ModDB

I'm not quite sure if I ever will expand this to encompass the whole of Half-Life 2, but in the meantime, you at the very least have this public demo. Please enjoy the results of my idiotic ideas.

===== Support me, maybe? =====

Are you loading the special maps, or the retail Half-Life 2 ones?
You have to load the special maps as designated in the description. This addon does not modify the vanilla map files.
As well, make sure you do not have NPC AI disabled, nor that you have any other addon that disrupts AI thinking.
