First playthrough review time.

Making this type of game with complicated puzzles and excellent level design in 1990's within the limited graphic technology is groundbreaking in those days.This game was released for MS-Dos version and still playable for Windows 10.Controls in this game need some time to get used to it because the movement of this game cannot be as flexible as current generation games.Game is tough(for 100% completion) and luckily there are unlimited saves in PC and Machintosh version but limited saves in Play station version.If you want to complete the game with all the secrets it might take more time which depends upon individual.Some of the levels in this game require lot more logical thinking and patience to solve the puzzles and to find secrets.Finally the gameplay and plot are nice and there are very few bugs(in terms of playability) which are manageable.

As a completionist i have completed the game by finding every secret in the game.All the secrets are definitely not easy to find and might be complicated in the first playthrough.Some of the secrets cannot be collected by backtracking the level if player misses it and need to be collected only at the particular area of the level while passing through first time which includes a good replayability of game.

Those who are only aware of reboot version(2013) of tomb raider series or those who already know about this first game but didn't play then they should definitely play this game which is more challenging with standard plot and mostly cannot be expected in the early classic era.

Note: Steam version doesn't include the DLC of the game which are included in the below patch link.

Metro Exodus

Metro Exodus is the trilogy's final part, released in 2019, with an enhanced version in 2021. Both versions have RTX enabled, but RTX is on by default in the enhanced version. I played the standard version, and the game still looks beautiful with its graphics. The narration is excellent, and the story takes place right after the last game. The gameplay is also impressive, featuring enhanced mechanics.

The two DLCs are worth playing, but it's better to complete the base game first, as they contain story spoilers. In the standard edition, there is a bug during loading screens where the screen can freeze for 1 to 2 minutes. To fix this, when the loading screen appears, open the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete a few times and wait for it to resolve. This step should be done each time the loading screen gets stuck. Aside from that, the game runs smoothly if your GPU can handle the graphics.

If you’re playing the standard edition without RTX, it’s better to switch to DirectX 11 in the graphics settings for better FPS compared to DirectX 12. For sharpening the image and other fixes, I’ve posted a guide below. If your GPU is strong enough, after following the guide, launch the game and navigate to the video settings. There, you can adjust the shading rate from the default 1.0x to 2.0x or higher for enhanced visuals. Keep in mind that increasing the shading rate will require more GPU memory, so only make this adjustment if your GPU can handle it.

In conclusion, Metro Exodus is an impressive blend of story and gameplay that captivates players from beginning to end.
