Xenora: The server of Creativity

-Or at least all who are left here. At the time of writing, there are 15 members. That's aside the point though, I'm making this announcement because for a long time now I've been thinking about a certain topic: Xenora, its' structure, and its' community.

First and foremost, a little history lesson:

Way back in 2012, I decided to start a small community built around PAC and general creativity. After a couple days of brainstorming and working on the new server at the same time, I had a blank, ready-to-customize server now going by the name of Xenora. At the time, it was being hosted on the same computer I was using at the time - a Windows 7 machine.
From here, I started adding to it, putting on things and adding maps as I saw fit to the goals of the server, all the while continuing to think and flesh out the theme for this new server and how I wanted all of it to piece together.

- I'm going to pause there for a moment and say that, to this day, I have never fully realized the goals and ideas I laid out for Xenora when it was in its’ infancy. In some ways, I've come close, but in the recent past, there have been many various things that have come up involving Xenora that have skewed my goals and made me stray from them.

Alas, back to it: From there, as time went on, the server grew very slowly, word of it spreading from the handful of people who would join. Players would join who would ask about PAC, and those who knew would answer - It was already on its way to being how I wanted.

Skip ahead to today, and Xenora is indeed still as it was, just a bit more fleshed out, and a bit more nicely themed. However, it is nowhere close to how I initially envisioned it to be.


That is where this announcement comes into view: I'm here to state a few things, then receive feedback.

First: From tomorrow, Monday the 24th, Xenora 2 will be repurposed specifically for the unhindered development of this new 'Xenora V2'. It will be public, but only those who wish to either provide feedback on the work being done there, or to help in the development itself, will be allowed to stay.

Yes, this is a total rewrite of Xenora: X2 will be stripped from everything but the core things needed to work on it, PAC included. I'll be working - alongside those that want to help me and be a part of it - build Xenora again, from the ground up, into what I initially imagined it to be all those years ago. That is my goal, and I know I can't do it alone (if I do, I know I'd miss something crucial).

I really would love any kind of feedback into this whole thing by anyone who wants to talk, and, thank for listening, and even still being here, really.
