S&G Muntions has one main goal; to arm the players with the most unique weapons in Garry's Mod. Our company doesn't focus on realism or ironsights, only making a weapon that looks as good as it works, and our weapons are the best of the best.

When we began this company, it started out as just two of us using basic code to create interesting weapons. We were building our weapons inside of a camper that we had to steal considering both of us were broke and homeless and above selling weapons that violated the Geneva Convention. It took the deaths of numerous small time weapons dealers and the toppling of The Active Visions corporation before we managed to grow our small, camper run business into a gigantic corporation that has over 70 offices throughout The United States, Canada, The United Kingdom, and The European Commonwealth with five main CEOs that manage the company. We've defeated numerous rival companies like Quick-e Weapons Inc., The Active Visions Co., and Boomstick Arms International in order to provide for our customers only the highest quality firearms and melee weapons the world has ever seen.

We ship new updates once every two months, with weapons constantly being designed and fixed in the time between updates.

1 Year Later...

Lot of ♥♥♥♥'s happened since the last time I even bothered touching Gmod. Haven't touched steam in ages nor have I really done anything involving gaming due to a lack of motivation and due to having absolutely no time in between school and work. This is on top of struggling with depression, moving to a new place, dealing with financial ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, etc.

I really, really thought I was going to write this just cancelling the last update but I honestly don't want to leave it where it is now even if it's a good spot to leave off on, not with the Science Update and two others already completely modeled and prepared. What this means is the update obviously isn't going to be coming out immediately since I'm just now getting back online, but we're probably going to cut down on the more difficult and needless weapons in the update to focus on what's left in order to get it out. Maybe those cut weapons will be added in later, but for the time being they'll be gone so that everything else can get released.

Not sure if there'll be a trailer for this one since I no longer have a reliable desktop for filming and recording without potato graphics and I don't really trust anyone else to make them the way I envision them, but things might change once I get more spending money.

Here's the thing though, as soon as the next three updates go out, the toybox is done. There's no way I can continue it with the schedule I'm going to have in a few months unless the quality completely drops off.

So it's still gonna take a bit, but it will hopefully be within the next few months at worst. Thanks for waiting.

Birthday Talks (Please Read)

Hey you bunch of bastards out there! Since I never really bother to relay this information over Steam, I'm going to go ahead and do so by announcing that I'm turning 21 today! Now normally when people announce that, it's usually because they want people to give them stuff. While I wouldn't complain about that, that's not why I'm posting this. The reason why I'm posting this is because I haven't blabbered about the Science Update here since September and we've made a lot of progress and changes to the final list since then.

So let's talk the update. This is probably the 600th time I've said it, but there's definitely progress to be had. Update's at a solid 75% complete at this point, with most the weapons either completely finished, undergoing testing, mostly finished or in need of polishing, or needing a base weapon that spawns entities. A handful of the harder ones are still waiting to be started on, but that's not much. As always, I refrain from giving release dates because then I end up getting shafted by life and have to delay everything, but I want to believe that this update might roll out during Spring of this year, maybe earlier if we can get enough done.

Now since it's my 21st birthday, I'm feeling pretty generous. That's why I'd like to share this quick look at the 21 weapons listed for the update[puu.sh] along with some other stuff in a bit. Now, I'd have LIKED to have shared the list with the functions not blurred out, but my media team wasn't having any of it, so they made me blur out what all of the weapons do. Fortunately, the weapon names are probably enough to at least give you guys an idea. To give you an idea of what we've got done out of those 21 weapons, we've got at least 14 or so done or nearing completion. As always, I post screenshots of my progress on coding and testing, so be sure to keep checking my screenshots for more information about how things are going.

Next, I actually want to talk about how the update's going to be released. Normally, we just kind of drop the update out of nowhere and let everyone that's subbed to the toybox freak out when their addon starts updating. That's not what we want to do this time. Instead, this time we'll let everyone know when the update's done and actually give a release date for it. There's certain reasons for this that I can't talk about right now that involve corporate espionage and potential sabotage, but it'll give me some decent time to edit together the trailer for the update and prepare the teasers for Update 10. So as soon as we finish the last update and every weapon is confirmed as working without bugs in both single and multiplayer, we'll drop an announcement and a release date so everyone can mark their calendars and get their snacks and popcorn ready for some fun with handheld weapons of mass destruction.

Lastly, I want to talk about S&G's future and what's expected to happen after the Science Update. Now most of you that read this know that the update's been in development since 2015. You might be expecting that the next update might take a long time.

Nope, this is where my next big reveal comes in.

Now, we bit off more than we could chew with the Science Update. Like 21 weapons seems great when it's all bullet weapons, but throwing entities into the mix made things 1000x harder. This ended up resulting in a ton of weapons removed from the original list. I think the number for the update would've been about 35-ish had we kept all of them and since we didn't want to just abandon so many unique weapon concepts and model designs, we did the only sensible thing.

We split the update in half.

What this means is that The Science Update and Update 10 are essentially the same update, but separated at birth. Update 10 will have a lot of the concepts removed from Science, but their models will be altered to reflect the theme of U10. I can't say what that theme is, but think of Update 10 as the Science Update's darker and grittier sibling. This also means that most of the bullet weapons that were originally in the Science Update are in this one, making the update much, much easier to code than its predecessor and making it so that the update will release much sooner than the last as well.

That's going to be all for this post. Hopefully we can stay on track and release this damn thing soon, I want to get this update out to everyone as soon as I can. As always, keep paying very, very close attention to every aspect of the addon page. There's been some weird stuff going on with it like that screenshot in the images section of my computer in my office. Here's to another (hopefully) productive year here at S&G and another birthday to me.
