But no, there’s no new breath types planned at the moment, I got a handful of other things I’m looking to implement.
The Life breath is pretty much poison breath though, and even more so if you play with Calamity and upgrade to the improved version of the Life breath, which is purple!
Really wish this race would lean more into the RP and customisation potential. Way too many mods get fixated on "vanilla balance", completely missing the memo that not many people play strictly vanilla game to begin with. I mean, Calamity, Spirit and Thorium do exist...
I will continue to monitor the Steam comments section as usual, and change logs will continue to be available on the Steam Workshop pages for my mods, but the Discord server will provide a more open way for you to get in touch with me and a like-minded community, or suggest ideas/submit bug reports in forums~
Unfortunately I have to be pretty reserved with the healing effect since you can effectively ignore the petrification effect by simply using the Stone Shield Trinket, which will remove the petrification the next time you get hit, and you'll only take 1 damage.
But yeah, you're right. In its current state, it has become neither fun to use nor useful as a healing item, so I'll just be reverting that change and leaving it as-is.
What I had in mine was that you could craft the stone potion into variants of the three main healing potion (lesser, regular, & greater) that healed for say 50% more but applied the petrify effect, while the original remained as a just for fun item. But changing the original just makes it a worse healing potion rather than being unique and useless but fun.
I would rather the stone potion remain unchanged and just petrify you rather than it having an effect, if coding the potions would be too much work, then are you able to please revert the stone potion?
I'll look into giving the stone potion a healing effect, as well as finding a way to maybe just remove the whole 'cheating the system' death thing, and just fully override immunity to petrification when needing rescue, too.
