I have no idea how to have this in space AND find a balance how everyone is happy with.
But for your question: yes, it should be possible to have a different behavior in space (would need a while to check the code, it is a little bit older).

I want this to be effective in space, but currently you would have to have an acceleration of somewhere between 60m/s² and 90m/s² for it to even start taking effect. Because of the scale difference in Space Engineers this is very unrealistic, is there any way to change how this mod effects the engineer in space alone, keeping the atmospheric and wings wide the same?
Takeshi  [author] 29 Aug, 2023 @ 9:24am
yes, if you have powerfull engines to get high-G in space. I think not with vanilla thrusters.
CamperCombo 28 Aug, 2023 @ 9:12pm
Does this work in outerspace?
TwinIndifferent 21 Aug, 2023 @ 12:25am
Dang, @CmdreRogers, I need to know how you edited this mod. I'm playing with 32000 m/s speed limit and G-force is non-existent for me...
CmdreRogers 29 Nov, 2022 @ 10:31am
Yeah that's all good, thank you :D
Takeshi  [author] 29 Nov, 2022 @ 9:50am
please no visible reupload.
Only unlisted, this will work for your server.
CmdreRogers 29 Nov, 2022 @ 7:57am
Hi there, I wanted to use this mod on my server which has a highly increased speed limit, so I went into config and changed some settings to get it working right. Would it be alright if I was to re-upload it onto the workshop, I'll make sure to include full credit in both the title and description.
Henri 20 Sep, 2022 @ 12:22pm
im using lots of other mods
Takeshi  [author] 20 Sep, 2022 @ 11:58am
Are you using other Mods?
Henri 20 Sep, 2022 @ 11:56am
im getting high g notifications but no black screen
Soumagnei 31 Mar, 2022 @ 2:51pm
Also looking forward to new mods from you
Your works are real gems!
Soumagnei 31 Mar, 2022 @ 2:50pm
Good to hear that you are still with us, Takeshi!
May be you can do a small patch, which allows to turns on/off HUD notifications with command such as /gnotification on/off
That would be sweet
Takeshi  [author] 15 Dec, 2021 @ 10:26am
I am still here. But I am not familiar with options on the game level. Until now I have only settings for parts.
Soumagnei 14 Dec, 2021 @ 6:48am
Are you going to support this mod further?
Can you please add configurable features, such as multipliers and ability to remove hud warnings please?
Takeshi  [author] 4 Aug, 2021 @ 9:14am
I have no setup system in place to change settings in the game. Sorry.
joe lasagna 3 Aug, 2021 @ 7:15pm
Would it be possible to modify when the effects apply? I have a speed mod that uncaps it so redouts dont happen, but i would like them to still happen, and one of the planets has a 5 g gravity
Takeshi  [author] 21 Apr, 2021 @ 8:32am
no, I will not.
(have removed it a while ago)
MasterBurte 21 Apr, 2021 @ 7:09am
Can you integrate health damage at high g-forces?
Takeshi  [author] 12 Feb, 2021 @ 7:39am
hm, i will take a look at it.
Boodals 12 Feb, 2021 @ 7:35am
I'm playing on a 1.9g planet, and I constantly get High G warnings when I walk and jump, which is quite annoying. Could you make it not show the warning if it is just for a half second or something? Or a config option to not show warnings if you aren't in a vehicle?
Takeshi  [author] 24 Dec, 2020 @ 5:57am
you need wings or massiv thruster power to get it to work. First person view is not required.
Wastelander Of Steel 23 Dec, 2020 @ 7:53pm
I cannot seem to get this to work. I had it enabled earlier on a different game but I wasn't testing it, but I tried on a different world and it didnt work. I cannot get any warning to pop up, or is it only if first person?
⫸Lyric Drake 591⫷ 5 May, 2020 @ 5:52pm
awesome! ULTIMATE PRISON SHIP :P
Takeshi  [author] 5 May, 2020 @ 7:30am
yes, you can.
Arachnade 5 May, 2020 @ 1:47am
With this mod could you imprison other players in a spinning prison to stop them from being able to see anything?
Takeshi  [author] 8 Dec, 2019 @ 4:09am
yes
bigbackclock 7 Dec, 2019 @ 8:04pm
The crosshair is inevitable
Mattler~~ 3 Oct, 2019 @ 6:29am
dang didnt see that you awnsered, when we were testing we had a preson constantly going dark when flyign a "vanilla" plane with aerodynamics :P also have already liked and faved x'D I'll see if this was a improvement thanks!
Takeshi  [author] 3 Oct, 2019 @ 12:03am
have uploaded a new version with dynamic recalculation. It is possible that you will see never again a G-Force effect by using a speed mod with 1000m/s, but then you dont need to use that Mod. Have a nice day and see you ingame. Some Thumb up's for the Mod and the creator? Thx
Takeshi  [author] 2 Oct, 2019 @ 11:41pm
G-Force is base on the change of velocity. Just flying fast makes no G-Force. Because that that is not so easy. Do you have that Problem only in suit? Because if you have this also in Ships, then you are using many thusters or special powered ones. In the first moment i was trying to implement a multiplicator, but that will not work.
Mattler~~ 2 Oct, 2019 @ 4:41pm
Hi so we tried to use this mod with a 500m/s speed mod and you basically go dark instantly. Is there a easy way to configure this mod for higher speeds or is that more of a hastle then its worth?
Takeshi  [author] 25 May, 2019 @ 4:25am
@SSM, no. I have no control over the controls ;-)
S.S.Mogeko 24 May, 2019 @ 1:24pm
Can you Make it optional if they have restrictions to control? I want it so that when you black out you can no longer control the ship.
mati_123_321 22 Apr, 2019 @ 9:02am
Thanks! I will never play without this mod!
Takeshi  [author] 22 Apr, 2019 @ 4:06am
Hi, should be fixed now, thank you for reporting the problem.
mati_123_321 21 Apr, 2019 @ 2:50pm
Hi. HUD is not appearing!
FPC 4 Apr, 2019 @ 1:55pm
Hmm did not work for me in testing oddly
Takeshi  [author] 4 Apr, 2019 @ 8:52am
should work the same way in space, i think you cant get your spaceship to increase or decrease speed as much as you have to need. From scriptside there is no difference between Space and atmo.
FPC 3 Apr, 2019 @ 2:07pm
This mod seems to no longer work? Or if it does, not in space? Any chance we could have a version that applies G force effects to grids in space too, if that is the case? Thinking this would be a good balance to very high accel grids/grav drives. If grid is accelerating over a certain G, would like g-force effects to apply to the players piloting.
jackik 21 Oct, 2018 @ 3:31pm
Having it link to ship size isn't really a good idea imo. There should be a different system specifically for stuff like that. I mean you COULD go all professionally and pre calculate all actions and automate the long distance flight with barely accelerating above the force threshold, but that's overkill and not really viable gameplaywise most of the time.
I'd love to have an actually challenging navigation such as that, but it should also be useable aswell. Relying on warpdrives or othermods that work as such also feels off as an only means to travel.
Covanant Jackal 21 Oct, 2018 @ 2:49pm
maybe make it so large ships arent affected, cause long distance travel must suck.
jackik 23 Sep, 2018 @ 9:07am
Well i meant that while it's realistic, it's impractical when you need to move over large distances. Is it possible to implement a block tag that exempts this particular seat (type) from these effects? Such as entering a cryopod, with the only difference being that you can't crontrol the ship while in a cryopod.
I was just thinking about any way to get to (or break from) high velocities relatively fast without dying. Ideally this method would only be viable in large distance travels and not in dog fighting, for balance reasons.
There is no problem, just thinking out loud about ideas... Thanks for your mod.
Takeshi  [author] 7 Sep, 2018 @ 2:34am
Copy from your text: These effekts derive from the force, not the resulting speed.
Exactly that is what i was talking about as i say its the same if you increase speed from 0 to 100m/s or from 1000m/s to 1100m/s (in the same time). In the whole calculation i kust use the delta from speed of the frame before and now, for example if you change your speed from 0 to 100 or from 1000 to 1100 you have in both cases a delta from 100. If you change your speed by 100m/s in one second, you have ~ 10G. Maybe its better you tell me what the problem is and dont try to tell me the solution? I think you are using other mods with powerefull thrusters or you are using many many vanilla thrusters. I cant align the mod with these.
jackik 6 Sep, 2018 @ 11:55am
It doesn't matter at all as far as i understand. These effekts derive from the force, not the resulting speed. Though i understand that accelerating to higher speeds is a lot more tedious than to the vanilla max speed.
I have a question though. Could you implement a way to get past these effects? Such as a specialized seat that can't control stuff? If you then use EA for HIGH-G maneuvers you could write commands for those and then enter a cryochamber to survive them.
IDK, but do cryochambers make it possible to evade the effekts? If so, can you add a threshhold fromwhere on the player actually receives scaling damage?
Takeshi  [author] 6 Sep, 2018 @ 10:37am
@H3xx, scaling with speedmods is not usefull. The effect will just turn off because thruster and gyro is not involved with changes from speedmods.
The G-Force will be the same if you increase speed from 0 to 100m/s or from 1000m/s to 1100m/s (in the same time).
H3xx 6 Sep, 2018 @ 10:08am
I tried this and it worked, but it seems optimized for vanilla speed. Don't suppose you could make it look at max speed currently avialible to scale it with speed mods? vanilla speed feels afully slow to fly with...
Takeshi  [author] 4 Aug, 2018 @ 11:16am
thx for the reply, good to know
N1Ran 4 Aug, 2018 @ 11:14am
It works as advertise now @Takeshi
jackik 4 Aug, 2018 @ 9:30am
I prefer my own G-Force Experience...
