When ever you try to level the land this map seems to return ALL trees to default mode regardless of what's already there. This makes it a very annoying play trough as you keep going all over the place to make sure no trees are on roads or inside buildings.

Söderslummen ser lite annorlunda ut

This was the first map I invested time in when building a city when the game first came out. I decided to pickup the game again and bounced from map to map, nothing felt right. After much searching I am finally back to this map. Thank you for making it.

How flat is this map?
Hamstertje  [author] 7 Mar, 2016 @ 2:16am
@Delfin18 I dont seem to have this problem. Maby it has to do with one of the mods you have installed?
delfin185 5 Mar, 2016 @ 2:38pm
Why are the streets blue, while out back?
Hamstertje  [author] 11 Nov, 2015 @ 3:46am
Where exacly are you trying to build a dam? So I can try en replicate the problem.
Duder 11 Nov, 2015 @ 3:10am
Very Beautiful map. Thanks for it alot! But I have some problem, not sure if it is about map or just game bug but I cant build a dam. Each time it writes that the slope is too steep. I even used a terraform tool to adjust those slopes. Am I the onle one having this problem?
P.S. Still the Map is awesome :)

Hello Hamstertje, it could be that I should not build ports adjacent to each other. Here is a link: http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/622974311969486716/883A0C3D2402F75745B5BA9B8DA74BFD4F0CBDB2/

Can you show me a screenshot of the shipping lines/problem? So i can understand a bit better what the broblem is, and how to fix it. I need a bit more information to make adjustments to the map. :)

Hello! I have been using your map for the last month or so? My population is at 365K @ 25 tiles allowed. I only have one negative comment, which I hope you can fix. In the centre of the map I have shipping ports on both sides of the main channel, there is one main square-shaped island. This makes the channel very narrow for shipping. I have the problem that my ships just stack up behind eachother. Can I suggest you make the island narrower and the channel wider to allow two lines of shipping? If that is possible I don't know. THANKS for a great map!

I've stopped at 9 tiles/87k pop and strictly vanilla, since I was using this map to complete the last of my outstanding achievements, Cities in Motion 2 (50 lines). For fun, I tried as much as possible to keep all residential and commercial on the islands, but inevitably I was forced to expand to the north shore. I'll continue this city with mods enabled in the future, but after 625 hours played, I'm taking a break now ;) Thanks again for the nice map.

@grapplehoeker I have not been able to play much on this map myself. Because I spend most of my time creating assets at the moment. If you hit 200k (or higher) maby you can upload the save to the workshop, and give me a signal. I am curious of what your building, and will definitely check it out! And maby I can learn something from it. For when I want to try and create another map in the future :)

Thanks, it's the reason I picked this map, I wanted to allow the fields to somewhat dictate zone locations and that south shore had a nicely placed selection of resources for the specialised industries. The island is already nearing max capacity and I'll have to go build up the north shore if I want to aim for 200k+ pop.

@grapplehoeker looks great. Nice use of the field layout :)

After 4 hours, infrastructure built and ready to start zoning ;)

Edit: sorry, my bad, it does run through the 25 tile boundary ;)
grapplehoeker 4 Jul, 2015 @ 8:07am
I'm gonna use this map. It's a nice map with very little tidying up required. That was mostly removing many of the unnecessary animal spawn points and tightening the highways so that they run more parallel. The only problem with the map is the placement of your northern rail. That lies outside of the 25 tile area and needed to be relaid.

What a stunning map.

I started with with the region around stockholm, since it has such a nice river layout. But it is a freehand made map, and I made many changes. It is in no way meant as a representation of real terrian.
初心者 12 Jun, 2015 @ 2:07pm
i must add it!
Arty 11 Jun, 2015 @ 6:44pm
did you use some kind of heightmap generator, or is this based on real terrain somewhere?

Or did you freehand it?
Hamstertje  [author] 10 Jun, 2015 @ 4:33pm
I dont see myself recreating this particular map in the standard theme anytime soon. However I did see a mod in the workshop that unlocks all types of building on any map. I have no experience using it myself. But maby you can give that mod a try, it should unlock the standard theme buildings on this map.
JusticiarIV 10 Jun, 2015 @ 1:14pm
Would it be possible for you to upload this map with the standard theme. Love the map, but want to play with the standard buildings.
