Yes! I finally figured out a way to get projectiles to spawn in a better location, so it feels more natural now and doesn't risk as many projectiles getting stuck in the floor.

I've opted to simply allow platform-type wings like the hoverboard, barrier platform and starboard to render normally on my races rather than trying to implement a custom wing type for them.
Hopefully that's alright, update will be out shortly.

I'll put that one onto my todo list.
I'm thinking that ideally the player's wings would automatically use the 'platform' type sprite (for the fox it can be like a cloud or something?) if it detects you're using a wing like the hoverboard, but I'll have to see what data is actually available to detect that- if it's even possible without just hard-coding the specific wing IDs.

Because yeah, right now the player just kinda magically stands on the air while flapping their wings and I understand that looks a bit odd XD

Patch is out now with that change. I was able to leverage some of my previous old character converting code to swap the colour regions, hopefully with no noticeable discolouration.

I completely get what you're saying, I can do that.
Might be tricky and I'll have to write some backwards-compatibility to make sure existing characters don't break, but it should be feasible to do as I have done something before when I needed to muck around with the fox's colour regions.

I like this mod quite a bit.

Is it possible to swap the main coat colour with the undercoat colour so that hair dye effects the main colour and not the lower parts? i dont know if i'm explaining it well, but when you use a hair dye the lower parts of the fox change, not the main fur colour which i was expecting.

Got a present for all the fox enjoyers out there: I finally figured out a way to fix projectiles spawning in the floor!
Please update to the latest version of the L'il Dragon codebase to get the change. As always, do let me know if there's any new bugs you find!

no worries, and thank you, also its funny cause before this mod came out i started a playthrough with only being allowed to use Fox mount (Texture pack to change the wolf mount to a fox), so this is perfect on time because we are still doing the playthrough lol

I've managed to get a workaround for some moving platforms (after spending literally the entire day looking at it), and I'll be rolling out a fix for that in the L'il Dragon codebase soon.
I can't do much about projectiles getting stuck, but this should at least stop the player falling through some moving platforms.

I also noticed some zones like the Glassweaver Arena don't show their background properly as a fox, unless you jump.
This is technically a problem with how Starlight River has defined the arena's box size, which actually fails to reach the bottom two blocks of the arena and thus, the fox is technically 'not inside' the arena, being within this two block gap at the bottom... I can't really fix that.

Being 2 blocks high causes issues to mods like starlight river and platforms it seems like the hitbox is lower than the fox to the point of moving blocks/platforms cause you to fall no matter what, and projectiles/weapons get stuck in the blocks too, if you can could u look into this issue

I think found the solution. For some odd reason, if you unload all your mods and jump into a new world, the bug happens. But I loaded each of my mods 1 by 1 and each one it didn't do the bug. I'm still not entirely sure what's happening to make it do that, though. Maybe it's best just to have only 1 or 2 other mods active with this one.

@PeashooterGaming, this is almost certainly a mod conflict. If you're able to isolate which mod is causing it, that would be a great help for me to see if I can apply a fix so that my mods can live together in harmony with said other mod 😅
I suspect it has something to do with changing the player's hitbox width.

...adding onto that, if you have a mod that lets you spawn any item, the L'il Dragon mod actually has a 'Transformation Essence' item hidden away that does exactly that- it transforms any race into the L'il Dragon race. You can see first-hand what happens if you try to use that item on say, a Lycan or other race XD

It's irreversible, so uh, don't do that on a character you care about.

I actually did try to make something like that before because I had the same idea!.. but it has... a couple of complications.

- Skin/hair/detail colours are gonna carry over to the new race. The dresser lets you change most of these colours, but NOT detail colour because that's added by MrPlague's Races and support for it isn't present in the dresser UI (no I'm not going to add it, I don't even know where to start and that is gonna be a deep rabbit hole).

- The chosen hair style is gonna break because not all races have the same number of hair styles. Some races may end up without hair entirely! (You *can* fix this by visiting a stylist, at least, although the stylist interface is broken with MrPlague's Races so it's not a painless process.)

As you might have seen from the B'ig Dragon mod, having an item that changes the player's race is definitely possible, but it only works well if both races share the same visual colour regions and number of hair styles.

What if you could craft transformation potions? That way you don't have to start over if you wish you were something else.

@abyssal-Knightmare, Joshthefox is actually pretty much correct on this one. Because the player is shorter, projectiles spawn a bit lower.
This is also in part due to how I managed to get hitbox height changing working, and is something I don't currently know how to fix without the player flying off into space because of the technical jank that comes with changing the player's height and the limitations of modding. It's a problem I revisit from time to time, but I haven't managed to come up with a solution yet.

I think using a Minecraft fox squeak is very appropriate XD
As for the door... I'll probably end up implementing it as a type of gate similar to how I made a 4 tile gate in the big dragon mod.
