I noticed something strange in your code : why did you override everyHours the "SPlantGlobalObject:rottenThis" method ?
In fact you should only do this once at the start of the game isn't it ?

After more testing it seems that Crops Never Rot could be part of the issues I described below, but the bigger issue causing problems with growth stages and sunflowers from MCST is due to disabling Ultimate Farming Patch mid-save. It seemed like everything, including this mod, played nicely together on a fresh save where I never enabled Ultimate Farming Patch, though I put Crops Never Rot at the bottom of my load order on that save just to be safe as well while testing it. So if you're using this mod, Farming Time, or MCST, either don't use Ultimate Farming Patch, or don't disable it mid-save if you already are using it (which sadly means no coffee/tea from Farming Time for that save for the time being)

For anyone using this mod with Soul Filcher's Farming Time and/or more common seed types, I've been cataloging my debugging on Farming Time's comment section due to this mod interacting weird with corn from SFFT and sunflowers from MCST if you're not using the Ultimate Farming Patch (which I disabled due to it preventing coffee/tea seeds from being planted/growing to the next stage with Farming Time), so check out Farming Time's comments, if I'm able to find a solution to get everything playing nicely together without UFP to allow for coffee/tea planting it'll most likely be there, but also wanted to comment here to let people know if you're being spammed with errors from sunflowers with MCST and their info pane is just a small white box, or if your corn won't grow to the next stage with Farming Time, and you're not using UFP, this mod could potentially be the cause.

@king_kong @Isaac Clarke @Oguri Kyousuke Some diseases only appear when the game progresses the crop from one stage to the next (most crops have 6 or 7 stages). Since usually there are no more stages after the crop is supposed to rot, the mod rolls the stage back to allow the disease check to roll the dice again. The sandbox setting is to set how much time that fake stage lasts before it rolls back again, triggering the disease check.

Has anyone figured out exactly how this mod, and the sandbox settings actually work?

What does the sandbox setting do?

Do crops still rot from lack of water, and disease, or is rotting completely disabled?

I don't really understand the sandbox setting. So crops will not rot but still can get diseased and the game will check for it every xx hours? That mean if I set the number to higher value the chance to catch a disease will be lower or something?

I dont know if this is possible, but it would be realy nice to have a option for how long the crops should stay in final stage. When they never rot there is no need to storage them correctly. You just harvest them when you need food or whatever. Say you could choose the plants to stay in final stage for a week(IRL), then people should be able to harvest them in time. Anyway, thank you for the mod!

Just updated the mod with a fix for crops transforming into "Mystery Plants" after their last growing stage. They still mostly returned their crops when harvested but it was breaking the Sugar Beets from "AnaLGiN's Renewable Food Resources"

Also added a compatibility patch for "Xnertot Farmable Trees" so that trees don't "turn old" if you don't harvest their fruit (since it's basically equivalent to rotting and you'd have to replant them)

I think I found the cause, thanks for the help though, especially being willing to take a look for me at my mods. I'm 99% sure its a compatibility issue with Snakes modpack and Renewable food resources. surprised these two large mods didnt add compatibility with eachother.

@Goynus That's weird, I tried growing some of the included seeds in the snake modpack and they worked (after reading the seed pack instructions, which admittedly took me way too long to figure out).

I'd appreciate a list of the mods you're using besides the modpack, so I can give it a proper look.

The mod auther for snake modpack wrote this when I was making a post on his about the same issue.

"Is not a Le Gourmet Revolution problem, the problem is when people mix a lot of mods even if in discussions threads have a list of incompatible mods and omit to read all info.
Also in comments I say about to view instructions on seed packets (By right clicking on them) but people not read comments to find solutions...
This modpack have a support for custom mappers also, so when a mapper adds a custom farming tile, the system transform that tile in a farming object.
If another mod touches and modifies the same file can destabilize the mod farming system.
So please read incompatibilities before experimenting."

Is this something you may be able to fix? (Le Gourmet Revolution is one of the mods in the modpack).

Does this cause problems with snake modpack that adds different growable plants? Is this because it has its own rottenthis function on their own plants? Not sure how this works.

Hey. I would love to see the crops be able to go into their final stage when it rots but then regrows. So if you plant carrots and after it rots. Carrots can actually regrow irl they just need a bit of help. Here is the list of crops that can be regrown

Carrots
Leeks
Onions
Lettuce
Cabbage

(They don't regrow themselves and you would have to regrow them using kitchen scraps. So someone who is like level 1 in farming can't regrow their veggies but someone who is 5+ levels in farming) Each veggie has a diff way you can regrow it. Like carrots
Carrots can be regrown from carrot tops. Have the carrot tops put in a dish that has little water. This is a way to keep regrowing veggies when they rot without having to completely throw it away and instead you can regrow it. For some veggies you can use water bottles, buckets, etc. Also to regrow the plant after all the steps are done you MUST place it outside and wait for it to grow that way
