This but a kinetic (bullet/object) trophy system that needs to be manually loaded? Would be cool to have something like this on a small grid tank that could intercept a limited number of incoming missiles and large cal rounds.

I mean it sounds op to me but I suppose that’s a matter of opinion. In any case if someone is planning to use multiple weapon packs it is on them to balance them to there wants and needs.

Thats fair, accounting for the sheer amount of weapon mods and trying to balance against them would be very difficult, but even then retesting it against other starcore weapons like the discoball, against a continued barrage in waves of 12 missiles using the NW Weapon Replacer, the discoball on its own is able to even at a 36th of the size is able to act on par with the exception of overheating quicker, and even though its engaging later it still destroys the missiles at about the same time.

My weapons are not balanced with other weapon packs in mind. That is simply far too much to handle. Almost all my weapons are probably underpowered for the size they take up compared to other weapons out there. Also conflicts with what I have been told. My APES is one of the strongest PD out there even among many other packs that they use in tournament events like Starcore

Might want to increase the damage output on this a bit, in testing it gets outperformed by literally everything I tested it against in comparison to other mods, which lets be honest you won’t be using this mod in a vacuum. In testing while it had longer range than every other laser defense system, even a single energy point defense from either consolidation or the disco ball from northwind is able to over take it by a huge amount. It takes a second or 2 to delete missiles with the APES and it takes less than a quarter second for the alternatives.

Sometimes stuff doesn't download properly. Its a bit uncommon but it happens here and there it could be why the separate one wasn't working as it works normally on my end and I have not gotten any other reports. Either way glad the pack seems to work for ya hope you enjoy :)

I found a way. I do not know why its not working on the individual mod, but with the weapon pack it work fine so I'm good now, thank you for your help

You are not trying to use a separate upload of a weapon with the weapon pack are you? I ask cause I tested the workshop version of this weapon just now and do not appear to have any issues and some people make the mistake of trying to use the weapon pack along side separate uploads which will break things

The torpedo bay will visually show if its loaded or not loaded when it is turned on. And yes I will keep that in mind

oh and please keep for the manuall reload in mind that on realistic settings the playerinventory on realistic inventory sizes has only 400l and it is quite possible that half of it is filled with tools, weapons with ammo and/or bottles when in battle operations.

a desing idea for the torpedo:
it would be atleast form my side beutiful if you could see from the outside if the torpedo is loaded or not, kind of like the externally mounted torpedoes on some ww2 planes, for example the beaufighter of he111

Some examples are:
A light high rof weapon that is mostly useful at taking down other aircraft or small objects

Missile bay: medium damage to targets and can be hooked up to conveyors.

Torpedo bay: Fires large anti capital torpedos that deal huge amounts of damage to large grid ships. With a variety of ammo types like EMP torpedos. This high alpha damage weapon would be a manual reload type weapon. Once fired you will need to get out/return to base to resupply/refill the torpedo bay

Probably gonna be staying away from fixed weapons for small grid ships. Instead there will be a variety of gimbal weapons that will fill specific roles. I don’t think I want any super long range weapons or anything for small grid. Instead for small grid ships trying to take down large grid ships there will be a variety of alpha strike weapons they can use that deal high damage (burst damage) but then require perhaps a manual reload requiring you to resupply. Then there will be more average weapons for fighters / mix between fighter and strike fighter

would like to request 2 types of weapons:
- a fixed high caliber gun for small grid that you can build a attacker around, kind of like it ha been done with the a10 warthog
- a few different sized fixed cannons for large grids that you can use as sort of spinal weapons for long range engagements with theyre high range an precision and a good amount of damage for theyre size, but with the downside of beeing big guns so that you probably have only 1 or 2 of them on your grid and a reload long enough that you need other weapons to defend yourself at shorter ranges.

What Abisius said. APES is working fine on servers using it so this issue is most likely on your end. I will be releasing some new weapons including my own version of what I see as the Gatling turret replacement. It is a fully retractable weapon

I like the retractable feature but this weapon targets nothing. Even after i added the weapons mod. At least add a manual aim. Can you make a retractable Gatling gun?

Yes, I have plans for some smaller PDs and energy based weapons in the future. I have a big update coming out soon that will be adding I think around 6 new weapons

This thing needs a banana for scale. It's HUGE! Really enjoying the deployable weapons. Sad they have the invisible collisions, but not sure anything can be done there.

its an energy based anti projectile system, so it shoots on missiles and such things.
and because its a wc based weapon it doenst register non wc weapons projectiles as targets.
for example it cant intercept the vanilla missiles form the vanilla missile launcher but onc eyou put in the wc vanilla weapon replacement it intercepts the misisles form the vanilla missile launcher.
