Swamp Fever [Peace Custom]

Description
Background
Sir Steele is sent to a decrepit outpost that has been neglected since well before the war with Barclay. Surrounded by swamp, the area is rich with pitch deposits. Your job is to gather as much as possible (along with a sizeable chest of gold) in time for an upcoming campaign.

Unfortunately, the outpost you occupy is disease ridden with gong and rats. A nearby estate, North Hiccup, has been ravaged by local bandits, thus requiring you to supply it with food to prevent starvation, until they can manage their own production. These bandits will also not take kindly to your inteference, and will also attack you - you have a limited number of troops and so you must use defences such as man traps and rock baskets to protect against them.

Once you have achieved your economic objectives, you will be able to recruit some troops via a mercenaries post with which you can destroy the outlaw camp and end their reign of terror over the area.

How to Play
Look in the Peace Custom maps folder in game, you should see a map under the name 'Swamp Fever'.

Hints and Tips
  • Make sure you get your food production sorted quickly and build a carter's post ready to take provisions to North Hiccup.
  • Get a number of gong pits and falconer posts built early to manage disease.
  • Diversify your food production to maximise honour and any climate events don't destroy your food economy.
  • Use walls to maneuver attacking outlaws into traps (stone tippers, rock baskets, war-hounds and man-traps).
  • Be careful to protect your units from outlaw javelins. Your lord is a powerful unit - use him wisely.
  • Completing the beacon in North Hiccup (by placing stockpile) will signal some reinforcements to come via boat.
  • Meat production will be very important to generate money - use your estates to help you increase your supply.

You are given only a small number of troops so that you cannot destroy the outlaw camp immediately. You must use the military buildings (e.g mantraps) to help destroy the outlaws. Essentially, you need to manage several objectives -
1) keeping the granary in North Hiccup stocked until you can purchase the estate (then you can build food buildings)
2) protecting against outlaw attacks (using walls to funnel outlaws into traps)
3) getting required items (pitch, gold) whilst managing the above.

Once you light the beacon in the estate North Hiccup, enough reinforcements will come so that you can ignore 2).

I'll make it clear in the instructions that one should use a carters post to send food to the estate. I'll make a few changes to make it a bit more forgiving.

ok !i have finished to understood than you must send food ( how many at each time ??? )to the estate enemy , still you are able to control it...
also the first send was obligatory 20 (see less...)meats cos your losing the apples at the beginning ..and when after a black cat come !!!???
no more carters post working ,and you must micro manage still you finnally get one hauler...
with alls these hasardous bads events , the first strategie which keep in mind , was to destroy the bandit camps at the beginning , control the food and the attacks of more than 20 bandits with only 3 archers will be too painful...
Anyways , i just remove the time limit , to finished the two misions, i don't will want to loose if i got only 3500/3600 gold before the end ^^

You have a carters post to send food to the estate with a beacon (North Hiccup). You lose if the granary in said estate runs out of food. You have a set amount of time to accomplish all of the tasks (No gong or rats in estate, get 60 pitch and 3600 gold) - if that timer runs out then you lose too.
