Grimstone : Beasts

Description
Bring a touch of the fantastical to your RimWorld with a handful of new, mythical creatures.
Though... you might want to keep that sword handy.

Welcome to the Grimstone Mod series, in which I aim to enrich the Rim with medieval/fantasy content.

This first mod adds a bunch of animals and fantastic beasts to the Rim, I hope you'll like them. I'm sorry in advance if they are not all as polished as i would want them to be, but I think it's better to publish something thant keeping my art sleeping in a cage for eight more months. (Note that I'll eventually fully complete and update this mod).

Have fun with your new friends/foes !

Housemade code (you'll know I'm the one to blame for bad balancing or XML errors, feel free to report any problems).

Art made by me.

Thanks to SirVan for teaching me art in the best of manners, he's been my greatest source of inspiration in the art department (subscribe to his mods, they are awesome and impressively good looking).

Note that even though it's not required for this mod, I made it having in mind it should be played with SirLalaPyon's Medieval Overhaul mod. Some of the stuff you see on the display pictures are from that mod.

Compatibility for Giddy Up included.

If you have any suggestions, put them in the comments, I'll be happy to read them ;)

Hello! I love this mod and have been using it for a while and recently got back into medieval rimworld which requires seting my game to 1.4 and realized this mod is not compatible. This is the perfect mod to add some spice to a medieval run. Would you consider making it compatible? Thanks.

LOCK TF IN. This mod has potential. Potential to be used in my next playthrough. But before you get to have one of your mods in my play through you gotta expand it some more. I want 2x as many beasts. Give me a little DM once your mod is up to the standards of my next playthrough#

This is a great mod! The griffar adds an owlbear vibe to the game I never knew it needed! I would appreciate an update allowing the refinement of thrumbo horns into ivory as, at least for me, I have used this mod for a while and thrumbos seem to be more common than belloceros. Do they not spawn in the boreal forest?
Hubertdragon1 15 Dec, 2024 @ 3:28pm
hey so why belloceros having only temp between 40C and -20C ? Isnt he suppose to be an cold dwelling rhino?

How does the dragon here compare to the dragons in the dragons descent mod?

Has MO biomes been patched yet?
Don't seem to see any of these grimstone beasts in the Dark Forest, in particular

@Abrolo hey man, great mod, would it be possible to include a patch to prevent duplication of the ivory resource with the mod Simple Ivory?

@crumb, maybe someone here would know a common mod that causes it? I have over 300 mods, and no idea what would cause this. I assume that the beasts are normally immune to these ailments?
