Water World

Description
You've died hundreds of time, putting to rest innumerable zombies in the process.
You've cleared the Secret Base and Rosewood's prison, only-stomp style.
You've worn all costumes you could find.
You've driven all vehicles that ever existed.
You've come to a point where you do not care about helicopter's stupid pilot.
You're the Alpha Survivor AnimalExquis[www.twitch.tv] asks sprinter advices to.
You've even Survived the Knox Incident.
It is time for a new challenge.


The Challenge
  • Water is slowly covering the world, swallowing the earth.
  • By default the water will slowly cover the whole map except Louisville in a year.
  • You can tune from sandbox options where the water comes from and where it stops.


Limitations
  • Do not teleport and / or use fast move near the flooding shore. It gives too much work to the game.
  • For technical reasons, player built tiles (e.g. from carpentry menu) are not flooded by the water.
  • For gameplay reasons, buildings are not flooded by the water.
  • Does this work in multiplayer? More or less. Some water progress may not update correctly at all time. I expect some bad surprises as it was tested very lightly.
  • Can I add this mod midgame? In theory yes, but if on loading the map is supposed to be already covered with water, it may take an awful long time to load and you may be stuck in water.
  • Does this mod alter performances? Yes, the mod requests more terrain modifications than it was designed for. It leads to light freeze when loading a new chunk of flooding water. But after that it calms down. If your computer is barely running PZ, do not use this mod though.
  • Zombies do not spawn on water. Therefore this mod is likely to drastically reduce the number of zombies that you may encounter.
  • Cars do not enjoy the water very much. Afaik they tend to levitate, and in some funny cases travel at high speed by themselves.

you gotta play this with the "Climb wall" mod, if you jump off a building into the water and get stuck well just climb back up and try again, honestly a absolute life saver when playing this with the whole world flooded

Anyone had a issue where the zombies are like under the water? Literally sound like they are following me a floor under when I have water goes into building settings enabled.

I'd love an option to randomize the extent of the flooding, and for it to happen in rapid spurts instead of a steady drumbeat of moving water...

I found the issue, also posted on the modpack I was following:
At least in the current water world version, if starting on a flooded world: water from all sides like the (modpack) description says leads to having zombies spawning on water, to avoid this, use settings to flooding from only one side, I used: Water comes from south, south water limit: 0 south starting point 10000000, south wave days: 0 water enters buildings, teleport zombies. DISABLE water from north west and east

I've been messing with settings for a while and can't find a way around zombies spawning on water, for reference, I'm trying to start a playthrough with 6 months later custom settings with the whole map flooded, tried setting flooding from every direction, from 0 to max starting day 0 (tweaked the day later but no dice), and mostly messed around with starting and limit points, the map always starts properly flooded but there are a whole bunch of zombies in the water. I also set the mod at the top of my mod load order
anyone else had similar issues and can help?

i'm using this mod along with aquatsar mod for being able to swim. Started with all world already flooded. I jumped from a window on first floor into the water. I cant' move from that tile. the character is stuck forever there; i'm not able to climb windows either.

@pesticide mukbang you can flood whatever, changing the sandbox options
