Description
{{{SS Bots}}}, a simple mappack that supports bots or both Coop play with other players. Adds Survival Levels to the game which contains objective such as "Core Defense" Meant to be played with high player count. 6 Players (Minimum)
Levels range from going in circles to taking a detour across the map to reach the core that you're suppose to defend with your allies. Some levels might have random events such as "Box of Functions Event" AI chooses which event happens between given variations (by default there are 8) More commonly known map called "Castle Trouble" That utilizes Box of Functions events and gives random event chosen between detectors. ("Triggers")
Some maps are linear but every time you hit play your bots might behave differently and at times you may reach hour in between timer or less (heavily depends on how bots or players perform)

Game Title: Modified BFE
Scenery Genre: Ancient, Dreamy, Medieval
Length: To Truly experience the whole level you at least need 35minutes minimum
Gameplay Style: Run n Gun n Defend
Enemy Count: High (Around 35 minutes mark) Horde (Around 50 Minutes Mark) Swarm (Around 1Hour Mark) Enemy count rises the longer you stay alive but don't worry there is a limit. All Spawners can be triggered at once and will unleash it's army. (Will cost heavily on your Objective's Hitpoints.)

The way they behave is simple. They see items, they navigate there. They are tasked to defend the core which is commonly where they will go as that's how they are instructed to do. They will shoot anything that's considered a threat to the core. ("Mental's troops") In some maps they navigate in loops as they predict that that's where the Core will be. Which is an issue as at times, they will loop from the start. ("Bug Known Backtracking") They at times need to recalibrate so they can pin point the path again when they did not had anything in their way such as "Enemies")
Their controller works like Joystick's Auto Aim which is why they have pin point accuracy.
They strafe, dodge, switch weapons, jump (rarely) and of course navigate.

Defend the cores, Your life depends on it.
Play with god mode when you are only playing with bots as this will even the odds with the AI. "Who wants to be mortal among gods?" That's the recommended option and that's how it was tested. You dying will prevent bots from pushing further. You cannot spectate them. If you die that's it. Treat it as Singleplayer protect the President.
Remove god mode only when you see a "GAME OVER" text.

Upon subscribing to the mappack you will have to hit play on Serious Sam Fusion 2017 (beta)
Select Play Moddable
Either start your own private lan server to play with your custom player model or singleplayer to play as Sam.
Select Survival category.
Choose Dizellfest's Survival Bunker.
Select a map
Upon loading in and when you're able to see the map hit ~
Type in cht_bEnableCheats=2 (you will have to do this only once, if you wish to return to no cheat mode simply replace "2" with 0 >>> cht_bEnableCheats=0
Close it ~
Press ESC (Basically go into the pause main menu
Hit F3 and the menu of cheats should pop up. Enable God mode and choose Spawn Coop NPC.
Select the character you want to spawn by clicking on it's name.
That should be it.

Bots do NOT work when you're trying to play with other players.
Bots are MEANT to be played while you're alone in the lobby
Bots have a lot of ISSUES and i can't fix them all.
Bots play with GOD MODE Enabled
You CAN'T spectate bots, if you die the game ends.
They BACKTRACK from the beginning of the level when there is too much chaos or if they were stuck at least once.
If there is too much to take in they will squeeze towards the nearest corner and will let themselves get overwhelmed.
I can't fix those issues so am terribly sorry for that.

@Shockwave Do you mean entities for making them work on maps or actually spawning them via entities? For that you'd have to use Serious Sam 4's or Siberian Mayhem Editor. Otherwise for Fusion you are most likely to run into crash if you spawned a bot via entity that treats it as an NPC. There is tutorial i made here. I'm very limited on how can i inform you using comment section https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTQyzUrj4ow&t=431s Let me know if it helps and let me know if i can assist you further

Can you tell me where the bots are located at in the editor to place them on maps? Instead of spawning them in via cheats

It's hard to explain with how limited i am here on workshop comment section. You can add me on Discord, Steam. My friend list tag is psycesponge. Should come up with Dizellfest as the result.
Next i can recommend watching this tutorial i made https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTQyzUrj4ow&t=431s It says its for SS4 but the method is the same as for Fusion except you don't need to specify what characters to spawn in the immortal, expendables Npcs. Let me know if you need further help

Apologize to bother you again, but mind teaching me few things on how the bot category works in serious editor? I do have a small idea but I am a little lost. And how you made them move through the levels by themselves? I really want to try and see what I can make out of it and for that I require some help.

@Greenth-Mac Yes i used Serious Editor nothing else. No scripts as well. All work is done with Bot Markers and other Logic Entities.

Did you use serious editor or other means to make the bots go through the level? I would like to give it a shot if I can, at the very least make them keep following the player.
I am positive that there is a way, especially since the game do support bots by default without any community mod, we just need more skilled people to give this game an attention.

@Greenth-Mac There is one piece i made for The First Encounter bots where they can almost beat the game without player's help. Player is involved as well as i redesigned them for playing in Coop only. For Second Encounter and BFE fortunately that's hardly possible because map design is not linear. By that i mean it contains unreachable objects, jumping, parkour areas, puzzling in non linear fashion. It causes AI to break and makes them stand still or start teleporting. Many people have asked me if it's possible for me to redesign them for TSE and BFE. Sorry to say it's hard and beyond my knowledge as function access is not possible for AI or probably it is but i do not know where. I agree with you that sadly Fusion is abandoned project of Croteam. Bots feature for Fusion is truly phenomenal idea but needs tons of work.
