AAX Raven Expansion Pack

Why not cause some more chaos with the AAX Raven Expansion Pack, featuring even heavier firepower and destruction.


This addon provides two more AAX Raven entities, each having a different mounted turret that allows for more flexible options for complete annihilation. The behavior of both of these entities are akin with the original AAX Raven, having the same movement and flying behaviors. The AAX Raven can have three different turrets: The rotary cannon, gauss cannon, and the rocket system. This addon adds the last two, which both produce very explosive results.

To use this addon you are required to download its base addon, the AAX Raven. This is done primarily for storage efficiency so that you wouldn't need to download the same resources again (e.g. having duplicate texture files).

Here are what the projectiles look like for each:

EDF Missile


EDF Gauss


Features:

• Two more AAX Raven models, each having its unique turret
  
• Two projectile entities that explode on impact (the gauss and missile)
  
• Enhanced particle systems for explosions and projectiles
  
• Sound effects that are adapted from the base game
  
• An additional ConVar attribute that changes the delay after each EDF Missile deployment

Controls (Primary):

1. Foward, Left, Back, Right → W, A, S, D (Respectively)
   
2. Hover, Descent → Jump [Space], Shift (Respectively)
   
3. Toggle AAX Maneuverability Mode → Reload [R]
   
4. Toggle Third Person View/Toggle Gauss Cannon/Rocket System → L-CTRL

Controls (Gauss Cannon/Rocket System):

1. Fire → Mouse 1

Console commands you can use to alter the AAX Raven's Rocket System attributes:

• "flyer_rocketcooldown" → Changes the rocket cooldown of the AAX Raven.

I have spent quite a lot of time working on this one. I've been referring to the base game to understand and mimic the particle behaviors and sound effects of the gauss and rocket projectiles as well as their explosion effects to the best of my ability. My goal was to make it as much like Red Faction: Guerrilla as possible. I hope you enjoy this addon. Feel free to ask any questions or address any bugs or issues.
