Bonnie is a caring and sympathetic person who generally tries to see the best in people. Her faith in others becomes a fault at times, particularly with Carver. She initially tries to to justify his murdering Walter and Alvin (Determinant) at the Ski Lodge and tries to suggest his killing Reggie was an accident. She is still repentant when she realizes her mistakes.
