Thanks for giving me a fix to the problem, but do you by any chance know if there is an addon or command that can keep the lighting of the combine but not change the background or interior of buildings and the skybox? The great proportions of light illuminating everything is quite distracting.

I'm pretty sure the combine aren't supposed to be super shiny. I tried typing "mat_specular 0" in the console but it didn't change a thing, any fixes?

I added playermodel.

yeah olive what happened was that the Combine were synths made up of many species that wanted to take over every dimension and the Xen creatures fled to well..Xen to hide from them,then then black mesa portal let both the Xen creatures AND the combine through,while most Xen creatures probly died the Vortigaunts joined the humans in the seven hour war and the humans lost so yeah just go look at a wiki

And furthure Portal Storms across the planet. Thus how they took the world so fast as they had the entire world covered in Combine in mere seconds. (Or Minutes)
