Eddie's Improved Electronics

Description
This mod is aiming at alleviating the maintenance needs of a developed base. I am trying to make it feel less like cheating, and more like natural progression, thus I will not change the vanilla devices themselves, but adding improved versions of them hidden behind Breakthrough researches.

Current features:
- Solar Panel 1.1, 2.0
- Battery 1.1, 2.0
- Wind turbines 1.1, 2.0
- Diesel Generator 1.1, 2.0
- Power Cell Generator 1.1, 2.0
- Electric Wall Lamp 1.1
- Ceiling Lamp 1.1
- Floodlight 1.1
- Tilted Floodlight 1.1
- Search Light 1.1
- Heater 1.1
- Freezer 1.1, 2.0
- Fridge 1.1

I don't promise I will keep updating the mod, because my enthusiasm toward stuff can easily come and go, but the future plans include adding 3 updates for every item that can break down. I am also willing to take suggestions into consideration.

Cheers!

Yes, that's why I started to make this mod, even though I have to admit, in real life I would not count on stuff I jury-rig from scrap last as long as if they were factory-made. Anyway, currently the most resource-hungry electrical devices take at least 80 days to have a chance to break down with this mod, instead of 20, and can last up to 180 days. I will probably update this mod some time in the future to have tier 3 stuff with 120-240 days lifetime, but currently I'm not playing with S:AD, so I don't promise that it will be soon.

And, of course, you can freely make modifications to this mod. Adding new items can be a bit tricky, the editor is not too intuitive in places, but modifying already existing entries is not hard.

All i am looking for is mod that stop the failure of electrical gear, I made a battery 5 minutes rl later it was F`d, If brought a battery RL and it lasted 5 minutes , That company would not survive, I have a battery in my car , Bike House and all last car and bike 3 -9 years, While i have legislated house battery guarantee of 25 years,
This constant drain on resources because of poor game design is what stops me playing each time, It is a pain in the arse to have 3 or 4 electrical devices break down all the time , It does not happen in rl and so should not happen in game, If i had of known this was going to be the main drain on your resources i would not have purchased the game, Not to mention not being able to manufacture MECH CELLS, FU to the game studio , i will not be purchasing any more games from this mob.

Thanks, it's perfectly fine to replace it manually. And probably more realistic..

Currently you can replace only "obsolete" devices, so no upgrading. I see the possibility in the editor, maybe it can be applied for this too, but I have not experimented with it yet.

This is a great idea, with the 'non-cheat' feel. Can the electronics be upgraded after they're built, like for buildings, or is it needed to first deconstruct the old things? Either is fine, just curious before using it in my next game. Thanks for this!
