Description

A custom Lee-Enfield L42A1 from Day of Infamy. Replaces the M40A1

REQUIRES THE SHARED RESOURCES PACK

Comes with its own scope
Has a world model with LODs (to reduce the chance of crashing)
Has a VGUI Icon

Note: The scope is not compatible with other weapons (this affects pretty much only custom server weapons based off of the M40A1)

Note 2: The Bipod animations are not perfect, because of DOI not having them.

I do wish there were more varied mods for the M40, other than ancient BF3 ports.

Zikan - perhaps, but it is important that this particular model is the one, as far as I understand, that was the longest remaining version of Lee-Enfield in British/Commonwealth service as a sniper rifle far into the 2nd half of the XXth century. Although other models of Lee-Enfield might easily find their way into hands of some insurgent groups, this particular one is very unlikely to overall. In fact, it is more believable to me that some particular "security operator" decides to use it due to a weird personal preference or something of that sort.

Short answer: whoever commissioned it wanted it for M40. Deal with it, as we all do. Or you can contact Қatka and order a mosin version yourself, if you really want it.

Ok, but don't you find the idea of a US infantryman with a rifle almost from WW2 ridiculous? Look in the workshop to see how many replacements there are for the M40 and how many for the Mosin.

Zikan. Mosin isn't the only bolt action rifle you know. M40 gets overlooked because it's not as classic, but functionally they're basically the same since mosin doesn't have stripper clips in ins2. We only get that in sandstorm.
