ITALIANO

ENGLISH

The D245 locomotives are part of a large and heterogeneous group of vehicles, easily identifiable by the type C running gear that unites them.
They are all diesel locomotives with hydrodynamic (and also hydrostatic) transmission, made by different manufacturers: as in use in the FS, the locomotive identification number also includes the belonging to the relative manufacturer.
The D245s are mainly divided into the Badoni, Unified, Jenbach and Jung series. In this pack, the first three of the list are present.

X Series (0000)

The 0000 Series, built by Antonio Badoni Lecco, used a hydrostatic transmission, consisting of a pump and hydraulic motors interconnected by high pressure pipes. The diesel engine was OM. 58 units were built

6000 series "Jenbacher"

Built under license from Jenbacher werke, they featured Voith-type hydraulic transmission. The engine originally used was a 2-stroke diesel, supplied by Jenbach Itself. The power of 370kw was very respectable. They were built in a total of 9 units

Unified series 1000-2000-6020

These locomotives use shared solutions, with the only difference in the motorization (Mercedes-Benz for the 1000s, Breda for the 2000s and JW two-stroke for the 6000s). Initially, the hydraulic OM type S transmission was used, then replaced by the more reliable Voith L24.
The 2100 series, despite being unified with the others, adopts a motion transmission system to the axles (with connecting rod) rather anomalous for the construction period but still modern, thanks to the use of bearings.

The unified locomotives are still survining nowadays, with a bunch of units being modernized by Mercitalia rails.

Mod info:

Power from 258 to 370kw
Tractive effort from 165 to 190kN
Max speed 64km/h
Year from 1963

Why is your anti-copying notification (which is justified) only in English? It's a bit jarring to have the 'don't be a naughty boy' warning to be front and center, and then have the description in another language 1st.

If it is important enough to have this warning only in English, then put the rest of the English description immediately under said warning, or move the warning down to the English section.

As it stands, there is an implication that people that understand Italian (and don't necessarily understand English) don't need a warning.

Yes. To be honest there's already one, the Aln 772. It's very similar but need modifications on front cabs to match your TAF.
By the way yes, I will make them (the italian version is classified as Aln 990)

very nice, thanks for your work. Do you plan to make any atoumotor with a FIAT engine?
I think in Spain they were called TAF
