Crashed Course

Description
Crashed Course is a close-quarters SS3-themed Survival map.

Originally, the map was named The Last Chance and was made by me and Rakanishu. However, the map was broken. Since I didn't have the permissions to update the original submission, I've decided to completely overhaul the entire map and submit it as a separate package. I haven't had contact with Rakanishu, however I'd like to keep him as a co-creator considering this wouldn't exist without him.

Only took me 10 years, I know! But it's here now. Crashed Course is a complete overhaul of The Last Chance.

There will be a Fusion port at some point too.



Features:
  • Classic SS3 Survival gameplay!... with a twist.
  • No respawnables.
  • Most of the arsenal. (except for the Sniper Rifle)
  • Secrets (???)
  • Almost all types of enemies make an appearance. Almost.

Changes from the old build of the map:
  • No more dependency on a custom map. Sorry about that. No more crash!
  • Complete visual overhaul. More particles, improved post-processing and more.
  • Created a navigation mesh. Enemies might still get stuck, but it's a vast improvement from before.
  • Created a visibility mesh. For optimization!
  • Removed bloat. No more random entities on the map that won't ever get seen.
  • Added more props, scenery and decals. Includes destructables.
  • Completely overhauled scripting. Fancy new intro included!
  • Improved enemy AI on the map.
  • Completely reworked enemy spawns. They now spawn in more interesting places, and even have fancy animations whilst doing so!
  • Bug fixes across the board. No more black crumbs!
  • Improved soundscape.
  • Secrets!
  • Optimized custom models.
  • Re-organized world files for the sake of future updates. (if needed)
  • Increased playable space.
  • Added more pickables.

Medal Times -
Bronze: 00:03:30 (Coop: 00:05:30)
Silver: 00:07:30 (Coop: 00:09:00)
Gold: 00:11:30 (Coop: 00:13:30)


Known Issues:
  • Enemies getting stuck in general. (Mostly fixed due to the navigation mesh.)
  • Not tested on CO-OP. However, no reason for it not to function properly.
  • Rain drops appearing in wrong places. Haven't got a fix for it at the moment.
