"Stalinist" houses series II-18

Description
This mod adds 8 options for large-block houses of type II-18: 1-5 sectional nine-story buildings and 1-3 sectional five-story buildings. I must say right away that my houses are not those richly decorated palaces for workers, but Stalin's of the late period, half a Khrushchev (see history). These buildings are based on the II-18 series, but have elements of the houses of the II-04, II-05, II-08 series, such as ceilings of 3 meters, stucco molding, a more ornate facade, doors and windows from the early-mid 50s, which makes my houses more "Stalinist". This makes my houses a perfect fit for the 1955-1962 building period, perfectly fitting into the urban environment. Subscribe if you want your citizens to live in comfortable stalinkas of mass construction! :)

A bit of history:
The "Stalinist" houses today include residential buildings erected both before the war, starting with the II five-year plan (1933-1937), and since the beginning of post-war reconstruction, up to 1956, when the decision was made "On the elimination of excesses in design and construction." ...

The actual construction of the stalinkas ceased around 1960, when the construction of significant town planning projects that were not subject to change was completed in the largest cities.

The style of pre-war houses is sometimes attributed as post-constructivism, and post-war - as "Stalinist Empire"

The era of classic houses in the Stalinist style came to an end after the adoption of a decree on the fight against architectural excesses. In 1956-1960. buildings of the transitional type were built, which combined the "Stalinist" monumentality and the almost complete absence of any decor. Such half-stalin-half-khrushchevs ("stripped stalinkas") can be found in large numbers in Moscow and other cities of the country. In particular, the northern part of Profsoyuznaya Street in Moscow is built up with houses of this type. Living quarters in "stripped" houses were still designed according to the "Stalinist" standards set out in the 1954 SNiP.

In the first half of the 1950s, a course was set for the standardization of housing construction. Standard precast concrete goods are being introduced into construction to speed up construction, fire-hazardous wooden floors are being abandoned in favor of prefabricated reinforced concrete slabs, and stalinka erected according to standard designs appear.

The construction of Stalinist houses fell sharply in 1958, when guidelines were adopted for industrial mass housing construction and the reduction in construction costs by reducing the size of residential premises, which led to the emergence of arrays of cheap standard "Khrushchevs". Separate Stalinist houses were completed by inertia until 1961.

P.S.
The mod was based on the mod from the game developers themselves, thanks to them for these wonderful houses :) https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1859241929

I want to express my deep gratitude to Benser, without him this mod would not have been made :)

love the look, but is the capacity realistic? it just sounds so much for a building that looks so small

Can confirm it still crashes a year later.

Excellent work. The buildings could be improved by adding access on the back. If you place one of the larger buildings, residents have to use nearly all their walking limit just to reach a building a few feet behind where they live. Without road access, the new garbage update might also 'break' these buildings...

Could you add gravel, boards and perhaps asphalt as a construction requirement? Not sure if it's intended or a bug, but it makes these buildings very cheap and quick compared to similar buildings. Really like the look of them but building them feels like cheating

Have you removed some files? I'm now getting the game crash with it failing to find HOUSE, HOUSE9 and HOUSE10

I ran into a problem with cars like ambulance and secret police moving away from the building by a different path then they have come and ending in a loop cyling on a pathway. The tooltip tells me the buildings has no connection to a road. Maybe because it is winter and the cars came from mud road they "choose" to take the upgraded pathway but where this pathway connects to the road they may be too far away from the initial road access?

The groundworks phase appears to be broken.

@gundahar agree. Why do these mods need no concrete or gravel?
Gundahar 13 Mar, 2021 @ 6:42am
Thanks for the effort, but I think those buildings are highly imbalanced. Way too cheap and too easy to build since they dont use concrete or asphalt, which is also very unrealistic.
Wanted to use them today, but it felt like cheating so I didnt. I hope you change the stats in the future, really like the models and capacities. :cozybethesda:
