Description
The de Havilland Canada CS2F-1 (redesignated CP-121 Mk.1 after 1968) Tracker was a license built version of the Grumman variant and first entered Canadian service in 1956. The first versions of the aircraft differed little from their American counterparts, but all subsequent versions carried different and often times more advanced equipment. They primarily served aboard HMCS Bonaventure until her decommissioning in 1970, which relegated the Trackers to shore bases. Most were retired between 1974 and 1981 with no direct replacement, there mission instead being given to Lockheed CP-140 Auroras.

This rendition of the Tracker is how one would have looked in 1957 wearing Royal Canadian Navy paint and is perfectly capable of performing it's intended role of hunting and killing in-game submerged targets. All anti-submarine equipment has been replicated to the best of my ability and functions in multi-player mode.

Specifications:

- Max Speed: 178 KIAS
- Cruise Speed: 150 KIAS
- Max Range: 120 Km (can be extended but at the cost of speed)
- Fuel Capacity: 9000 LBS

Sensor Equipment:

- Radio Direction Finding (ECM) equipment (BFO allows listening in on the receiving transmission if audio)
- Magentic Anomaly Detection (MAD) gear
- Radar
- Sonobuoys x2

Weapons:

- 6 70mm CRV-7 unguided rockets
- 1 Mk43 Mod3 Homing Torpedo

Single Engine Flight:
If you suffer an engine failure follow these steps to remain airborne.

- Advance Throttle Full Forward
- If the Failing Engine is on fire, close Fuel Valve and extinguish fire
- Turn on Rudder Assist
- Open Cowl Flaps
- Turn on working engines Aux Fuel Pump
- Attempt restart of failed engine *DO NOT ATTEMPT RESTART IF ENGINE FAILED DUE TO FIRE*
- If engine cannot be restarted, Feather Prop and close Fuel Valve
- Extend Flaps as needed
- To keep the aircraft balanced switch between fuel tanks intermittently.
- Monitor the good engine's temperature, if it begins to overheat lower throttle slightly until temperature drops.
- Land as soon as possible

***ENSURE YOU HAVE 'INFINITE ELECTRICITY' TURNED OFF IN THE OPTIONS***

UPDATE 25 OCT 2022:
- Improved Radar (Low Gain Range: 10KM / High Gain Range 3KM)
- Sonobuoys now use Passive Sonar
- Torpedo equipped with passive Sonar
- Mark 6A Plotting Board usability improved
- Improved Ground Handling
- Improvement for lower 'Psychics Settings'
- Host of other cosmetic and functionality improvements

ENJOY!

This aircraft specifically was made for my friend Gardiner who I met through this game (he is also in the Canadian Navy). He taught me many things, and introduced me to some very wonderful community contributors who have shared not only their creations and wisdom with me but also their friendship. So THANKYOU Gardiner, this Tracker's for YOU!

-=TINGUS_PINGUS=-, my guess is you have 'infinite electricity' set to on in the options. Let me know if that solves your problems, otherwise something else is afoot. That said I also have a BIG update coming which will include some of the new parts we got in the last year.

I've done everything the video says to get to takeoff but the throttle refuses to go above 0.20, And yes i flicked the switch that should allow it to and did everything else perfectly

Kuribayashi, you are too kind! Thankyou sooo much! My advice, use a Button set to "ON' rather then the distance sensors, it's easier and simpler to implement. Take care!

Oh really?! Are you making cool item now? oh, This is a great news for me and my friends. Do not sit up late at night to work as stormworkers :steamhappy:

I will try them. your items contains many idea. (e.g. "use distance sensor to detect electric are alive or not") I will study from your works step by step. Have a good time!

Kuribayashi, hello I am glad to hear you like the aircraft, it means alot! If you would like I can upload the Micro Controllers, but I do have some other projects that are pressing that I'd like to finish first. Also, I should mention that the MAD, Radar, and Sonobuoy systems are integrated into the aircraft in such a way that certain other systems particular to this aircraft must be on in order for them to work. So either A) your aircraft will need the same systems or B) I will need to simplify their operation, which will take me a little time to accomplish. What would you like? I hope you have a nice day, and thanks again for the nice comment!

What's a GREAT works you do!!
I tell about it for my friends again and again. Thank you upload this.

By the way, I hope add MAD system, Radar system and Sonobuoy on my own plane. will you upload MC? These system contains many many great ideas....
