I have grown up on the West side of the Berlin Wall. I always asked why there was a wall in Berlin but as a small child couldn't understand it was to keep all the crazy capitalists from rushing into the East, fleeing their plush lifestyles for a more austere society.
Much the same why so many people in Florida, who have boats, are not flooding south across the Straights to Cuba. It's a tropical paradise, everything just perfect.

our medical system is severely degraded by the destruction of socialism. but I've been doing this mod with socialist medicine in mind.
Because of the goofy medical insurance system we have there is ALWAYS at least two people to schedule appointments and bill your insurance.
In our dentist's office he has four assistants that do the cleaning, and such. He does the fillings and more.
And that's just a dentist.

here in Russia staff without medical education is usually cleaners, guards and cloakroom attendants. oh, and that woman on reception.
