MHV05-Sylpheed

Description
The battlefields of the future demand the best engineering has to offer, and the MHV05 "Sylpheed" Rapid Assault Tank is the perfect blend of style, speed, versatility, and killing power.

Built upon the MHV04 "Kabuto" prototype, the Sylpheed perfects the distinct role that the Kabuto set out to define: A high-speed assault HV nimble enough to evade more damage than it endured while retaliating with a full complement of high-powered weaponry. Like it's predecessor, the Sylpheed's defining characteristic is its enormous bank of horizontal thrusters. With 14 Jet Engines of thrust to the left and right, 28 engines worth of acceleration lend the Sylpheed unparalleled maneuverability for its weight, deftly dodging around all but the highest velocity shots. Additionally, at the cost of a mere 4ms of lateral thrusting power compared to the Kabuto, The Sylpheed comes fully-enclosed in hardened-steel over a larger chassis, distributing it's weapons and systems for better damage absorption and superior firing arcs. Despite being considerably larger and almost 50% heavier, the Sylpheed still has a level of mobility uncharacteristic of tanks its size, outmaneuvering even smaller HVs, and dancing around POI defenses.

Main Features

-Lateral speed: Unlike many other high-speed HVs that depend on rear thrusters and RCS for mobility, the Sylpheed's mobility comes from its high left and right thrust output, allowing it to maintain its frontal orientation on targets while circling around them, keeping all turrets as well as its forward guns facing the target, and its critical systems facing away.

-Weapon Loadout: The Sylpheed features a main artillery cannon as its most prominent weapon, but the real workhorse are the Sylpheed's 4 secondary turrets. These turrets are homing rockets by default, but plasma turrets are also suitable. Against frontal targets, all 4 turrets can sustain fire, but otherwise the turrets are grouped into Point Defense (topside, meant to shoot out drones and aircraft), and Main Guns (grouped with the artillery turret, meant for heavy combat). In addition, the Sylpheed features 4 fixed miniguns.

-Transport capacity: The Sylpheed seats a crew up to 5 and features a small interior cabin containing two standard seats as well as the Sylpheed's full complement of equipment. In addition to the two standard seats are two enclosed seats on either side of the door from which passengers can see outside. The cockpit can be accessed from inside the cabin via a small gap between the two fridges. The cockpit can also be accessed from below the Sylpheed via a gap behind the front spotlight. This ensures that the pilot can always embark from any direction in a hurry.

-Fully-featured interior: The Sylpheed's rear cabin is designed to support small squads in rapid maneuvers. The rear hatch is angled to allow quick embarking from a short jump with minimal risk of slipping or missing the entrance, and all 4 seats are in immediate reach of the door. The interior cabin is self-lighting and features 5 cargo boxes, a constructor, 2 fridges, an armor locker, and an O2 station. Custom switch #4 'IntOxy' can enable or disable the forcefields and ventilator to turn the interior cabin into a breathable zone. In addition, if a player is standing between the two seats and facing the constructor, the player drone can be deployed from within the sylpheed's cabin, allowing safe drone use without leaving the sealed environment. Additionally, the hatch can be operated remotely via control panel signal switch.

-Custom Switches: The sylpheed features 5 custom switches for enabling or disabling the two turret groups, the interior cabin O2 system, and two thruster settings. MinThrust includes the Sylpheed's hovers and minimum thrusters, and is required for basic mobility. For full mobility, MaxThrust must also be enabled, enabling all remaining RCS and thrusters. Recommended to use MinThrust for basic non-combat travel, and MinThrust+MaxThrust for combat and difficult terrain. Despite the significant difference in power draw between Min and Max thrust, a Sylpheed with a full tank can maintain MaxThrust for close to an hour and half.

-Versatility: With its flexible power output, large frame, internal storage, and multiple seats, the Sylpheed can satisfy both combat and non-combat roles. Replacing the turrets with Multitool turrets and drill turrets can result in a flexible mining and salvage HV that can shrug off enemy fire long enough to escape from danger. (Note: Harvest boxes not included in default design. Recommend replacing underbelly RCS for a salvage/mining role).

Device Groupings: (WARNING: altering device groupings or auto grouping will break custom switches.)

Max Thrust (The majority of the sylpheed's RCS and thrusters)
Min Thrust (All hovers, 4 RCS, 2 Thrusters in each direction, 4 in the back.)
Cargo (includes all container devices in one group for easy access including ammo, constructor, fridges, and cargo)
Point Defense (two top-mounted secondary turrets)
Main Guns (two chin turrets and main cannon)
Interior Oxygen (ventilator and forcefield)
System (all other devices that do not need to be managed or directly interacted with)

Maybe jet engines have been rebalanced, but they used to be lighter for more thrust with the drawback that they took up more space. I'll have to look at the stats.

Nice Looking HV, but why the jet engines? the extra 10 thrust isn't worth the extra 200kg weight
