How to use:
Download from either of the above websites. Do NOT subscribe to this mod.
Run the batch file ADVANCED_RACE_TEMPLATE_EASY_SETUP.bat. Pick a name for your race USING ONLY LOWERCASE and NO SPACES , press enter and BAMN. That's all there is to it.

A more step by step instruction

Starting with a fresh template:

Unzip the file and put it into your mods folder.

Run the .bat file and choose a name longer than 3 characters, lowercase only, no spaces. (note .bat files are for windows only)

Open starbound and you should see a pale bald human with the female wearing green in your list.

If you do, then hoorah! you can now begin editing, if not, check your log file at starbound/storage. You can open it up in notepad++

If you aren't running windows then you will either need a program or to manually change all instances of skadvtest to your chosen race name.

Known issues from bat:
Check dialog files to make sure they have been renamed by the bat file.

Custom ship pet - Fennix

Penguin Merchant (craft at inventors table)

A simple particle effect.
Hat with the effect added to it. (purchase at merchant)

Race Spawner (purchase at merchant)
Blank banners (purchase at merchant)

Basic furniture with your race's colony tag (purchase at merchant)

Mechs - Credit - Flypotato
