Finally, an actually good AAA game.

I originally picked this game up out of curiosity; something akin to "Wait there's a Ratchet & Clank game on steam?? I haven't played that series in like 10 years!" and picked it up for that reason. I was not disappointed.

While my major issues were to do with graphics settings, I wasn't alone in those and after some fiddling I found configs that worked for me. Though, take my graphics issues with a grain of salt; I'm running unsupported hardware and 4K monitors so of course I had to turn them down :P but the game still looks astounding, even on lower settings. Seriously. I know.

Anyway, now to the important stuff, the story. I've only reached about halfway as of writing but I feel as if I've played enough to write a basic review of it.
So far, the story has been astounding and I am very much enjoying it; sure it isn't complicated but it doesn't need to be. Sometimes I'd just like a break from complex plotlines, ya know? The story is charming, intriguing and sometimes quite touching but I can see why some other players may disregard it as "corny" and "childish" (you need to remember, this game is aimed at a younger generation; I merely picked it up for nostalgia).

So, despite my initial performance issues, I'm very much enjoying the game and now wish the other games in the series were on steam. So yeah, give it a shot if you want a humorous sci-fi storyline with the fun gameplay to back it up.
