scene 1: i move up to the switch on the wall to activate some platforms. i see the prompt to press E to activate the switch. i move lara closer. the prompt has disappeared. i reposition lara croft so the prompt appears again. i press E. the prompt has disappeared. i reposition lara croft so

scene 2: i am sliding down a slope at the end of which i have to press jump and then E to grapple-swing from a beam. i jump. i press E. lara misses and falls to her death. i was one centimeter too far to the right for the input to register properly. repeat for the next three deaths until i figure out i have to jump way earlier than implied.

scene 3: i am climbing along a cliff wall with lara's trusty climbing axes. i position myself to jump across a gap to reach the adjacent cliff wall. i jump. i press E to attach to the other wall. the game likes to watch me suffer so it refuses to register my input and i fall to my death. repeat a whole six times.

scene 4: this time i press F. lara goes on a stealth-kill spree. she gains skill points. i gain cognitive dissonance. meta falls to its death forever.

wonderful demo :) lots of content and replayability for hours just in this demo alone. i only wish that (1) the sprint were toggleable because it's hell on the wrist, and (2) you could sit on the benches like the tutorial with grandma taught you to 🥺 minor bugs in this demo shouldn't really stop you from enjoying the gameplay; just go back to another town and hopefully whatever was keeping an npc stuck should work itself out. i will say that this, for some reason, is stopping me from completing one of the smoothie quests in the southern town---it won't actually mark as complete even tho i got the npc to come up and order. oh well!

on a side note, if you do quit the demo, you will have to start all over, so your best bet is just leaving it on all day until you can come back to the computer. i had to quit once, but i didn't mind building up my funds again because the gameplay loop was relaxing :) also, your van upgrades when you skip the tutorial, so you're not slumming it as much lol. can't wait for the game release

a bit buggy and prone to crashes, especially after using the water gun to wash the arcade machines (???? genius) for a short period of time. i hope that one day there's an option (which i might've missed) to remap the controller buttons so they work for a ps4 controller... i kept pressing the normal ps4 "accept/select" button and accidentally exiting out of the game entirely lol. still, i can tell this is a very sweet game, even with the little ghostie that's kinda mean but just wants someone to play a two-person arcade game with 🥺 would love to play that art game with ghostie in the future, if i manage not to exit myself out of the game again. interested to see where this goes!

wonderful game, wonderful music :) personally i'm not that great of a rhythm gamer, but this has been absolutely fun to play anyway. been playing this every so often for the past few years.

tip: u can adjust in the settings regarding the visual effects if needed---i definitely had to because it strained my eyes, but the aesthetic is great even without the extra effects.

don't quite think i'm smart enough for this game lol but it was an interesting experience nonetheless. i'd recommend it if you want to feel like you're trying to find out who pepe silvia was, red string everywhere

wonderful game :) i thought it was going to be kinda cutesy and wholesome judging by the art style, and it was! but where they get you is in the story... it had me in tears at some points. life can be so bittersweet, but i guess sometimes all it does take is a little bit of care to make things work again. (the music was a beautiful complement to this!)

everything is rather simple and short, but it should be noted that this game probably plays better on a touchscreen. rotating and maneuvering the fixes with just a mouse felt clunky most of the time, so much that it was a little frustrating. personally, i persevered and got mostly used to it, but for others, it may be more worth it to play it on phone/tablet.
