The idea and how it's set up to work in favor with the user is absolutely perfect. Although it functions like absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Not even going back in versions saves it. If you have a problem with the modern version, going back several updates will likely fix it, but break something else important. These "breaks" can range from the preview completely shutting off and not returning until you've restarted the whole program, clips refusing to buffer despite it saying it's fully buffered and repeatedly replaying the same .5 second bit of your clip, loading in an already exported video to make minor adjustments only for half of the video to be randomly cut out unable to recover it, audio nowhere near aligned with the video until you cut the video which for some reason fixes it, the preview freezing on 1 random frame and not even restarting the program fixes it, exporting always gets stuck at 32.6% and never doing anything else, exporting in 4K is nearly impossible as often times the final video is completely black, flashes and goes completely green in parts of the video, or is stuck on a single frame. Every other resolution is perfectly fine, but 4K specifically is just not an option, I can barely even get it to export normally without it reaching some point and refusing to go .05 seconds every minute, recording audio straight onto videopad isn't worth it because it will always be mono for some reason. I have to record via OBS first and then put it into the software to edit it. You can't even do something as simple as take a short 60fps video and reduce the framerate to 30. It always stays at 59.94 or something you didn't tell it to export as, clips taking centuries to buffer and be able to preview, despite the many times the file has been opened, there is absolutely 0 communication on updates and other ways the devs screw up things that were working just fine, the tutorials that I should NOT have to go to for help are SEVERAL years out of date, clips being scrambled and a completely different video is in the place of another that have absolutely zero connection with each other, and the timeline needle completely freezes and I doesn't load ANY preview, but still plays audio. This is a great software. The only editing software I've had to use and it's been great, but the developers do not care about functionality. Hilariously, they still have the balls to call it a "professional video editing software". No matter what newer version comes out, there's always a myriad of problems with it. A lot are still unfixed from the previous versions. I really love this software and would hate for it to always be filled with bugs, but that's exactly what it is and has been for years. This is the worst software to edit videos, don't get it thinking it'll be easy to learn because no matter how much you know about it, you will not be able to work like a normal person because of how dysfunctional this garbage is. I've even emailed the people themselves about issues. They gave the most retarded and unprofessional response of "yeah just uninstall and reinstall it." Like I'm back in middle school where the computer teacher doesn't care, or possibly know, much about computers at all and always goes for restarting.
