WAR THUNDER REVIEW

Let's start with the basics of the game. In War Thunder, you get the opportunity to control a variety of aircraft, tanks, boats and helicopters. From world war two vehicles to modern, primarily War vehicles. There are ten different nations you can choose from; though you are not obligated to select only one, you can play as all of them. Here are all the nations you can choose from: USA, Germany, USSR, Great Britain, Japan, China, Italy, France, Sweden, and Israel. From what I know, Israel isn't fully implemented to the game yet. Each nation has numerous vehicles you can choose from. I prefer France due to their underrated aircraft, but we all have different preferences. The concept of choosing what tech tree you want to proceed with and playing with various vehicles on the way makes the game great. This is what I quite like about this game.

If you have just started playing War Thunder, you should know the game is based on a research system that you have no choice but to follow—choosing what aircraft you want to research and acquire. Points you earn in-game will determine how much Silver Lions (WT Currency) and research points you'll receive. When you realize how the research system works, that's when War Thunder starts to get majorly repetitive. The more progress you make, the more challenging it will get to obtain vehicles, which means hundreds of hours grinding. This research system might be the best option for a game like this, but not to this extent. After you've finally finished researching a plane, you have to buy it with Silver Lions... Vehicles tend to be extremely expensive later on. What I'm trying to say is, It's simply too much grinding. Yes, you can purchase golden eagles to boost the research, however it would be expensive in the long run to do so. And it would cost you a fortune to boost yourself to the modern aircrafts.

In conclusion, War Thunder is a great game, and I forgot to mention that it's free! If you're looking for an aircraft simulator game compatible with Joystick and VR, this might be the game for you, though if you prefer hyper realistic aircraft, this is not the game for you. (Check out DCS World). Yes, there is much grinding, but it's satisfying once you unlock an aircraft you've always wanted (No one can resist that feeling come on lol). You can play several game modes, events, custom servers, tournaments, and "World War" (Basically a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ storymode).
Give it a shot! It's free (Kind of..)
