After completing this game twice, including Hardcore with all negative perks, and working on the third playthrough to finish the achievements while waiting for Warhorse's new game reveal, I have to say that this is the best open-world first-person RPG with survival elements that I have played so far. The level of immersion, and quality of the environment and story are extremely high. But since there are tons of reviews for this title already, I just want to say what I wish this game had or didn't have to be perfect for my taste. Hardcore mode is definitely the best way to get most realism from this game, but it is lacking in some aspects.

First, I would definitely disable universal storage trunk with unlimited space and accessible from any rented/assigned residence. Access to Talmberg huntsman's house provides several trunks in addition to universal one, and demonstrates perfect setup to keep the possessions organized. And since the player cannot get rid of quest items anyways, universal trunk is just damaging immersion in hardcore mode.

Second, I would disable teleporting horse. No matter where you're, and where the horse is, Henry just whistles and his horse comes before him like Sivka-Burka. When it's close, it would gallop to Henry, and this is how it should be, with longer hearing range. A horse should not appear out of thin air. If Henry lost it, he should go and find it, get into its hearing range. Or abandon it and get another one.

Third, I wish there was a waiting time for equipment repairs at artisans' locations, and Henry could either come back or stay in place during the process. Also, repairs using kits should take time as well, based on damage and skill. I would also welcome at least simple food intake animation so it's not done in the instance.

And lastly, and most controversial probably, I wish changing armor and clothes would require some in-game time as well and/or not possible even during disengagement phase of a combat. This would require more careful planning and execution.

This is pretty much my wishlist for KCD2 hardcode mode, but I would surely enjoy it even if it's exactly same as KCD with just another map and quests, to complete the story.
