Don't listen to the negative reviews. Yes day 1 was not .. great lol.. but this game is amazing.
I sort of figured the first day would not go well so I decided to wait 24 hours to install the game.
First I must say that I have a very low end computer (i5 something, older 6Meg GTX video card, SSD, and 32G of RAM). My computer is about 7 years old. The case is actually rusting inside lol.
I can play on high settings and I only turn down the refresh rates of the glass cockpits. This is a huge hit for an old computer.
The game looks fabulous.
So because I waited an extra day, my installation took about 10 minutes. I spent more time mapping my joystick keys but pretty much got that sorted out in 30 minutes.
I set my bandwidth limit to 100. Changed some other options such as turning off all of the stupid indicators and highlights, extra HUD crap.. etc..
I get just as good, perhaps better, frame rates as I did in 2020. Now keep in mind I am playing on a 1920 X 1080.
So my expectations may be lower than others, but it looks great and flies smooth.
I have only flown the Cessna but that is my benchmark. I suppose if I hop into a jet I may get a reduction who knows.
Being able to walk outside the plane, the career mode, and just the amazing number of options availanle all make this worth the upgrade price from 2020 (in my opinion).
I think this is the future in flight sims, like it or not.

This is everything I wanted and was waiting for. I guess we'll see how it goes in the long run.

Negatives: I started a flight at Ohare in Chicago. When I looked at the map (I think I had multiplayer on lol).. I saw .. what looked like hundreds of planes at the airport. So not realistic.. but I spawned in anyway. After about 20-30 minutes I got a message saying bandwidth was too low. All the sim did was reduce some of the visible traffic.. and also I noticed jumping from outside view to inside view (while in this condition) it took a few seconds to redraw the cockpit.. but that was the worst I saw. I set my AI traffic to low, and turned off multiplayer, and boom, great!

So, I'm pretty much putting this here to let you know the game is not garbage. It is great. Let go of the first day problems and move on! You won't regret it!
