I've been playing the game since it came out, and honestly paradox has done a lot for the game consitently updating it. I've seen a lot of great improvements and overall gameplay has been flushed out from the mid/end game boring that it originally was. I love this game and higly recomend it to those who enjoy rts and space in one really cool package. I think one of the coolest nerdy things is the detail and information put into the galaxy itself like planet types, star classes, and special galactic disturbances like blackholes, and pulsars.
