Kenshi is one of the most in depth sandbox games i've ever seen, mechanically speaking. Although the graphics and software aren't that up to date to be able to compete with the other major titles, the depth of gameplay is mind boggling. The work Kenshi is set in is truly a sandbox, allowing you to whatever you want in it. Want to create a town that specializes in buying and selling drugs? Go ahead! If you want to be a band of roaming thieves, breaking into homes and businesses and stealing the property to sell off for a quick buck? The game doesn't stop you! Would you rather settle down with a few members of your party and start a farm, away from the more major conflicts? Kenshi supports that as well. The map is set, so no need to worry about any bad spawns. There are set kingdoms in place that can rise and fall, different towns to interact with, biomes to explore, and all of it is set in an unforgiving world where you are simply a speck in the grand vastness of the desert, that has no relevance for now if you don't become someone great and someone to be feared or respected. The modding support for this game is also superb, there's so many ways to customize your game it's staggering. This game is amazing, i would recommend it to anyone i know that is interested in sandbox games and roleplaying games.
