Love the sinner, hate the sin.
:OL2bible: I am a wretch of a man, but Jesus has saved me no less. :OL2bible:

According to popular opinion: "Heaven is for good people."
Are you a good person?

Here are 4/10 of God's famed 'Ten Commandments' to measure how 'good' you are.
-Thou shalt not lie (If you've told even one, someone could call you a 'liar'.)
-Thou shalt not steal (It doesn't matter if it was small or just one thing, we're called 'thieves'.)
-Thou shalt not lust (God looks at the heart, if those thoughts are directed to someone who isn't your wife, you are an 'adulterer' at heart.)
-Thou shalt not murder (If you've just absolutely hated someone, the bible says you've committed murder in your heart.)

This isn't the truth you want to hear, but it is the truth you need to hear:

Heaven stops being heaven when it is filled with liars and thieves. Ordinary people like you and me.
Moreover if God is good and righteous himself, he should be judging the murderers, the thieves, the liars. Not just the big names, everyone should get what they deserve- and that means you and me. Judged for every bad thing we've ever done.
God isn't taking bribes either, we can't ask a real judge to let us go because we've turned a new leaf, or we're really 'good' people, we're going to be judged for each crime- those sins- individually like justice demands.

So If God let all of us 'good' normal people into heaven it'd stop being heaven. Within a week it would resemble New York or some other city, because the problem isn't the location- its the inhabitants- us. For Heaven to be full of people, humanity's self-serving wicked hearts we view as normal and 'good enough' would need to be fundamentally changed.
That's what God is offering.

Here's the good news: God is both justice, and love - and because God loves you, he did the unthinkable:

-God came down from heaven
-Emptied himself in humility to become a man (Jesus Christ)
-Lived the perfect life we failed to despite being despised and destitute.
-Finally he suffered and paid the price for your crimes on the cross.
"No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself..." John 10:18 (Jesus)
Then with his final breath he said:
"It is finished." -Jesus' last words. (John 19:30)

It is finished. God has satisfied both perfect love and justice by paying the price in court so that we can walk free, like a speeding ticket. He died in our place just like he said he would, and served our sentence so that we don't have to pay for our own crimes in Hell.
Not just that, God is also offering to change your heart, start a work in you that by the end will fundamentally change you so that you could go to heaven and not pollute the entire concept just by being there.

All you have to do is 'repent' which means turn from your wickedness, try to stop being the sinner that you are- and trust in Jesus to help you the rest of the way.
Trust in what Jesus has done to save you, not yourself.

Romans 3:10
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Matthew 9:13
But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Proverbs 28:13
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

Ephesians 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

As a follower of Christ, your life does not become easier, it becomes harder because the world rejects this message, loving sin and death. They crucified Jesus and tortured every apostle to death. Their suffering excruciating, yet they did not remit what they had seen and heard, that their blood would testify of the bible's truthfulness.
John 15:20
“Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.”

I hope this has helped you in some way, regardless of who you are or what you have done-
I wish the best for you.
Peace.
