was being burned. so then the sniper squad saw what was happening and came down to try and help roach and ghost.unfortunately they could not save roach but could save ghost and the sniper team called the airlift and saved ghost.

so that leads me to believe that ghost (or ghost changed his name) will make a badass appearence in modern warefare 3 like price does in the gulag in MW2.
so thats my theory.

Call of duty 4 modern warefare's gaz is ghost from call of duty modern warefare 2
Heres my theory:

In the end of cod 4 i replayed the end cutscene and saw that gaz got shot in the back.Nikolais men then healed gaz in a seperate chopper from soap and price,meaning...later on gaz joined the task force 141 taking the nickname ghost.(keep in mind that gaz's voice actor is the voice actor of ghost) So then i played the cod 6 mw2 campaign playing every mission involving ghost,including the last mission of ghost and roach.I found out something general shephard betrayed ghost and roach shooting them both in the chest.A shadow company soldier(the u.s troops)(this is what i noticted)poured gasoline on roach not on ghost if you look clearly enough you can see that.Then general shephard threw his cigerrate
in the gasoline so if look to the left (where ghost fell after being shot in the chest)
burning roach and creating the illusion that ghost.
