Perfect, this is the best Samurai game, runs well and looks better than ever! Ignore the negative reviews, all are about some nonsense issues or the PSN sign up crap.

Despite the bitter launch and performance issues, easily one of my top 3 most immersive dark fantasy RPGs. The game does look gorgeous with Raytracing on!

Early Access Review
Clueless devs. Enjoy the hot fixes for updates that bring little content and break mods. Mods are one of the few good things that sometimes work in this barebones sandbox. The support from devs on modding side of the game is as sparse as the updates themselves. It has been 2 years and game is pretty much the same as on launch just less buggy in some areas.

Refunded. Except for map design which is great, devs did not learn much from Chivalry 1.

Movement.
I'd say the movement is even more floaty this time. When you pause and look around you everybody is hoverboarding. It reminds me even more of Mirage than Chivalry 1.

Weapon balance, hitboxes and parrying.
Two handed weapons with superior reach make you close to invincible in multiple foe fights as you'll be constantly slashing through multiple enemies. Those hitboxes alone encourage just spamming the same combos instead of putting some thought into your next move. I found myself quite often simply ignoring that there are alt attacks, special attacks, tackle, dodge etc. There's simply no need to use them. I am aware that any experienced player 1v1 is going to read just spamming attacks, but I think players should be punished more for just flailing around with the longest weapon they can find. You'll see no team effort, no shieldwalls, just everybody circling around each other trying to find that sweet spot to hit through at least 3 players no matter whether they're friend or foe.
I've noticed that there is always someone having difficulties to parry an attack in multiple target fights cause of how insane the reach of 2h weapons is and the weird time windows between attacks/parrying. Crouch overheads should not even be possible with the instant recovery from them, instead there should be faster side sweeps with less damage when crouching as a special attack on cooldown or a riposte mechanic if you get cornered.

Overall a fun game for a short while, but not as satisfying as I remember landing successful hits in other games in the genre. Customization is a bit disappointing, not much there except for a few skins that all look too similar and character models that could really use some rework. Somehow the game still has technical issues, like audio sync. problems with wireless headsets, but graphically I'd say it's very polished with a lot you can optimize on a weaker hardware than recommended. If I had to compare it to Mordhau then it is in every aspect a better game except for it's core which is the combat.
Chivalry encourages spamming attacks while Mordhau forces you to time your moves just a bit more precisely and can be much more punishing on missed combo hits (imo in Mordhau even chambering was all about gambling unless you fight the same player 10 times in row). Swing manipulation is equally as bad in both games imo. The hold parry, tackle and charge attacks are great in Chivalry, but combat system quickly falls apart cause of how clunky the movement is and how ridiculous 2h weapon hitboxes can be.

Once you reach the point of hearing ''Those United in Common Cause'' for the first time, you know this game is as special as all From's past projects combined!

Gorgeous ! The ost is some of the best i've listened to in any game in well over 5 years. Atmosphere gives me vibes of Journey-Abzu, so if you've enjoyed the experience those games have to offer you will love this one for sure.
