I have a confession to make: I really hated Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. That was the first Elder Scrolls game I was acquainted with and I was disappointed. Who knows how many times I started playing it and I always gave up after an hour or so.

Considering the above, I didn't expect much from its fifth instalment called Skyrim. But hey, I thought, I should at least try it and give it a chance.

So, there I was, couple of hours in the game, hacking and slashing the enemies and doing silly things like reading the books I've collected during my travels. Couple of hours after that, I bought a house and started stacking those books on a shelf inside. The weird thing was, the game wasn't about buying a house, books and reading and stacking them on bookshelf at all!!! A new threat has risen and you are a Dragonborn, warrior destined to do many great things. You must fight and prepare for what is to come, you must save the world!! But, as it happens, you can do many things besides that: read, buy a house, collect weapons, become an assassin, thief or a mage.

The world is so vast and it gives you freedom to explore and do your quests as you see fit and when you see fit to do so. Along the way, you will collect some awesome rewards. You will become the enchanter and blacksmith, you will be able to craft dragonbone armour and improve its characteristics by enchanting it. You will do many things.

And that is what makes The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim so enjoyable.

All in all, my opinion of the series improved and I really can't wait for the next instalment of the Elder Scrolls franchise.
