Solid story. Sick dismemberment. Awesome guns, though the upgrade tree is uninspired. Detailed environments. Thick atmosphere. Immaculate lighting effects. Looks incredible on OLED screens.

Great sound design, but underwhelming 7.1 mixing. Rear channels weren’t utilised well considering it’s a horror game. Experienced a game breaking glitch. Every major cutscene had missing characters and missing dialogue. A major character T-posed at a pivotal moment. Chapter 6, ‘Environmental Hazard’ had extremely repetitive padding and backtracking.

Besides it’s shortcomings, this was awesome. Expecting the Dead Space 2 remake to have the same attention to detail.
