I expected this game's insane reputation to largely be thanks to nostalgia, but I was more than pleasantly suprised and I can safetly say that this is the most fun I've had with a resident evil game. Hell what more can you really say? RE4's reputation for not only being the best RE game in the series but also one of the best games of all time is highly understandable after finishing it.

This game managed to scare me more than resident evil 8 while also being more challenging and in my opinion more entertaining combat with tons of equipment & herbs to have mess around with. The game also has perhaps the best pacing I've ever seen in a videogame with fun and diverse enemy types as well as good puzzles - you won't become a rocket scientist afterwards but at least they're proper puzzles compared to what you encounter in later installments.

Just make sure to bring yourself a controller while also diving through the forums to find a proper config for said controller. Yes you'll want your mouse and keyboard to sit this one out - it just feels wrong to play it any other way.
