Best Star Wars game out there especially for narrative. This is a symbol of what Bioware was before EA. If you have $10 and are a Star Wars fan definitely get this game. The combat is also very unique, using dice rolls and stats like DnD!

This game... Is my Game of the Year. It might be to early to say that and I might regret it, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is this a masterpiece.

No matter if you've played the past games or not, this game should be on your list of games you should at least try. The game play is very fun. Being able to craft items on the go, attach attachments on a weapon depending on the situation, explore an amazing world that has been made with great passion and effort (the developers did a great job at that), experience an amazing story with very likeable characters, and get to play with fun weapons and great gun play. Oh and don't forget about the spooky monsters that will probably make you jump.

I have 50+ hours on this game and I don't regret a single second of it.

This game.. Oh man this game. This game is the greatest story, decision making game I have played this year! Let me go over many of the gameplay and story and rate them accordingly.

GAMEPLAY: Gameplay in this game is very, very simple. You just click a statement and drag it too the character it corresponds with. Sometimes you'll get a yellow highlight on text, or AKA a conflicting statement to another statement. This means you have two or more choices too pick from. All choices usually have something different and the game and the advisor will react differently depending on the choice you make. I'll make one up for you if this makes no sense too you; There's one statement "I love this band!" and then there's another statement/post "That lady (talking about the person who said the first statement) hates that band!" Now, you have to decide which is true, or if you want, decide which is false ;) but usually them hating the band or not does not matter as that's not important to the STORY, which I'll get to in a moment. There's also going through text messages, listening to conversations and even going through phones and desktops. For this game, you are a investigator, so you will have to think a bit too determine what you want Orwell to know. It might sound boring to others, but it's actually not. It can get intense and fun if you put your mind to it. Now, the MAIN thing this game has going for it is it's great STORY!

STORY: A short summary of the game story goes like this: You are a investigator, trying to solve who did a series of consecutive bombings around "The Nation". That's basically it without spoiling it. The game's story goes indepth, into telling you directly and indirectly. There's websites in the game that have a lot of information about what is happening out in the world. Because of this, I felt so immersed, like there was actual events going on out in the world that you don't see at all. The main story can get a bit twisty too and is great for people who like criminal investigations. I, personally found myself being in love with some of the characters. This was an awesome experience and can't wait to get the sequel!

OVERALL SCORE: 10/10 BOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS.

Most of the reviews that are negative that you see are mostly people complaining that the game isn't as good as it was. In reality, it is actually a decent game. When I first started this game I couldn't get away from it. It's very addictive and has a really good story if you ask me. This MMORPG is a great story game, so if you love story based games then this game is for you. There's good voice acting, great cutscenes and even the gameplay isn't terrible. Since this game is free, there is no reason not to at least try it for a couple hours.

(NOTE: This is only a First Impressions as I only played it for a couple hours) DESOLATE is a very interesting game. I'm going to go through each of all of the gameplay that I have experienced in the game.

Combat: The combat is very skill based in this game and to be honest you can try and avoid combat through out the whole game, but may make it a little bit hard seeing as the enemies do drop loot that can be good or bad. I say the combat is skill based because you have to dodge, block, and attack at the right time. You can't be greedy in this combat. The enemies can hit hard in this game so it takes a bit of thinking to get through the battle. If you get too greedy you will most likely die or be very injured. Overall: The combat is great fun.

The World: The world is very open and very big and you have traverse it without any teleports and (i'm not sure about this) mounts. This game WANTS you to explore and find the secrets and what not. I found myself looking at every open house to loot and just look at the interior detail. What I also find so awesome is that randomly youll get jumpscares where a few paranormal looking creatures will circle a corpse. At night the game is ultra scary. I've found myself barely using my flashlight because I didn't want to fight much creatures if I didn't have to. The sound design at night is what makes the game even more scarier at night.

The Looting System: The looting system is your typical looting system. You just go up to a container of some sort and press "E" (unless you've changed that keybind into another key) and it's basically random on what you get. You can get just random stuff that you can sell at vendors, good or bad weapons, food or water. It's a simple system.

The 'Needs': The game has Hunger, Thirst, Anxiety, and Warmth. Hunger and thirst depletes when you are just running around in the world and fighting monsters. Anxiety can change to numerous things, it's pretty much how you feel you can be 'Scared' or other types that I can't remember, but it depletes mainly if you get jumpscared. Warmth can be depleted if you are out in cold tempatures. You can increase your hunger and thirst by finding food and water and eating and drinking it. You can improve your Anxiety by finding and using sedatives that just calm you down like cigarettes. You can warm up by going by a campfire.

DESOLATE is a good game for being in alpha. The only problems I've had are optimizations. If you are into horror and survival I recommend picking this one up. It has a Fallout, Skyrim, and Dying Light feel. Well, feels like it for me anyway.

Overall rating of the game: 8.5/10!

This game will be a extremely good Battle Royale game, it's so unique and different from other Battle Royale games. It's a survival type of game, grind resources, craft armor, upgrades, fires, traps, etc. The game is really good, but of course as Battle Royale games go VERY irritating. The people in the game are actually very nice, every game I've been in and after every fight I hear a "GG" or something like that. The people are just nice, the community is nice.

Gameplay:
Gameplay in this game is hard to get used to. When you first start you'll find yourself seeing what loadout works best for you (there's a customizable crafting wheel). I still haven't found mine, but I'm very close. The bow shooting isn't the best. It could take some work, but since this is an early access game I'll let it slide. The arrows feel like it takes ages to get to the target or it's just my aiming (which makes sense). The axe you have for melee is pretty easy to use, you have to time your strike well to hit the target. Other than that I find it enjoyable. There's also a director which I think is a cool feature, they can either be a friend or foe, but the most fun part is when YOU get to be the director! HAHA!

Environment/Graphics:
The graphics engine is the Unreal Engine and I admit it looks pretty decent, kinda like Fortnite. You're in a post-apocalyptic forest type of place so there's so many places where you can place traps, ambush, flank, and all out just use strategies. There's so many strategies you can do which makes playing the game different every time. If someone starts hunting or tracking you, you can easily place traps in hidden locations where they might go as well. It's a beautiful game. I love it.

Overall: This game has a good future. I give it a 8/10 for me! Thanks for reading my review and happy hunting!

Defiance is a free shooter game so no one should judge it too harshly. Defiance has an alright storyline with good voice acting. There's a lot to do, but I'll admit that most of it is redundant and can get pretty boring, but yet there's so much to unlock, new guns, armor, etc. There's even a system of challenges you can complete for rewards. I haven't paid a dime for this game because I haven't finished the base (or F2P version) game. The F2P is actually not bad, it doesn't restrict you from anything from what I've seen. It only restricts you from the expansions. This game is worth at least a try. If you don't like it you can easily refund it. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews, they are either trolls or legit, but you'll never know what this game is like unless you try it. Hell, I was like that. I looked at all the negative reviews and didn't want to install it, but I tried it anyway, and I actually like it. Defiance has an okay population of about 300 - 500 people a day. This game isn't very populated so you don't get into co-op matches easily, but if you ask general chat you should be able to get a team. This game is one of my most played games (on Steam, I have more on certain other games not on Steam). I love role playing and this game really puts the role playing genre to the next level, but there are a few issues. I'm just going to list a pros and ♥♥♥♥ list because that'll be easier. Here we go..

PROS:
-Fantastic customization. The hero customization in this game is through the roof and has the most expansive customization out of any RPG and MMO out there which makes it a prime candidate for being the best role playing game.
-Lots of power sets. There are lots of power sets, to shooting fire, ice, electricity to gadgets and becoming a fur- feral, I mean feral.
-Fun exploration. The game has a few zones to the big city of Millennium City, hot desert, the freezing Canada, and a couple more. It's a lot of fun to go into these zones and explore and fight enemies.
-Fun combat. Despite having a normal tab targetting system and somewhat of a unique combat system with combos and such, the combat is surprisingly fun because of the different power sets.
-Graphics. This one is debatable as some don't like it and some do. I think it's unique and a pro to the game. It really makes it look like a comic book which is what the game is going for. Very unique graphics, if you ask me.
Roleplay Aspect. This one is huge for this game, you can customize your hero, their backstory, and even create a nemesis for your character which is AWESOME. I believe the actual Roleplay scene (where you act out your character with another player and such) is still active and can be pretty fun.

♥♥♥♥:
Subscription and the Store - So, this is the main thing that I don't really like this game's marketing strategy. Now, I don't mind the store, though it can have some expensive items, but there is a way to get the ZEN currency from in game currency, but still. The subscription is the worse because it's not really even a subscription. For the subscription you can ONLY buy the lifetime sub which is like over $200 most of the times. Which is ridiculous if you ask me, they should have a regular subscription so people can just subscribe for a month or two (or more) and have all the perks for as long as they want. I don't know why they don't do this already (which they did in the past, but no longer). Cryptic if you did this, I'm sure newcomers and returning players would love to resub. It is true you get monthly store currency for basically as long as the game is alive, but still, there's no reason to pay $200 unless you are truly dedicated to play this game for however long you think $200 is worth to you.
-Inactive development. So I don't exactly follow the dev blogs or anything like that so I don't know exactly how active the devs are, though I know some do actually play the game, but it seems like the new content is scarce and development team is really small, which in turn makes developing new content take a while and make it more scarce. It seems like they only do the yearly events and seems like we've been in the "Shadow of Destruction" update for years because I haven't really seen that thumbnail change much in the past couple of years. I would love if Cryptic would actually put money in this game more than just to keep the servers up and pay the developers. I want them to do what they do with their other projects and fund this fully again. This game can be huge with some more developers and funding. It's the sadness of this super hero genre, it seems like these games go down the pit too many times. Not trying to insult the current devs as they've been pretty active from what I've seen, it's just it doesn't seem like there's new content every few months more like once every year.
-Small community. The community in this game is small, but dedicated, but can hinder peoples want to play the game because when they hear "MMO" you'd think tons of people play it, though it's only about a couple hundred. The community is dedicated though as it seems like it always stays at around that number of people so no one is really leaving, which makes sense since how fun the game can actually be. So this point is really mixed than a ♥♥♥.
-PvP is ded. Another mixed point as some people don't care for PvP, but I believe the game isn't too balanced for PvP and doesn't really get balanced to much (which goes into the inactive development point). The game's 'meta' also has a lot of cookie cutter builds, but really don't think you need to play them to have fun or get groups for content.

I believe that's the main points. Most of the ♥♥♥♥ aren't really even part of the gameplay as I think the actual gameplay is fun and great for casual players who want to spend time just being a super hero, but players who want more competitive and just pure non-casual gameplay will have a harder time truly getting into the game. There is some great end game, but nothing to keep the more non-casual players.

Great game, it really has great potential to be up there with the biggest MMOs, just needs Cryptic to fund it more.
